Hi, to all of you,
I have spent the past few days reading the posts on this messages board and have enjoyed them. I live in England, and would like some help with the following.
I have NOT looked after my skin for the past 2 years and it is very dry and tight at the moment. I currently plan to change that and will be trying to loose a stone in the next 2 months and will be drinking more water.
But i need to start a good skin routine. Due to lack of funds i don't want to spend to much money at the moment.
I used to, when money was permitting go for facials, where MD Formulations were used. I really loved these products and i bought the set from the salon. But when funds got tight i stopped this routine and began using all sorts of different products. But i shouldn't have. I know that now. I was thinking of buying these products again and getting back into a new and proper skin care regieme.
My skin is dry and i am prone to blackheads on my chin The set i used was a facial cleanser, then a correcting cream followed by advanced hydrating comples and then a total protector factor 15. For a special treat i used hydrating mask.
Would i be able to go back to this routine of would it be to harsh for my skin. Or would MD Forte be a better product, which somebody told me it is. Or should i stick with what i used before.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Also a happy new year to all of you. |

Hi,
I don't really have any advice re products as I am trying to find out which MD Formulations products would suit my skin too! However you say you have dry skin whereas mine is oily and very spot prone. I live in the north of England and was interested to read that you found a salon that used md products. Where was this? I've never seen the products in the UK. Also, did you get good results when you were using the range? |

I did notice that you to were enquiring about MD F. I used to go to a salon in Prescott Merseyside called Renissance. They now have a salon in St Helens as well. When i went they used md f that is why i started to use it. But cause of cost i had to stop. I might call in there on Tue and see if they will sell it to me again. |

I'm not sure about this but I think MD Forte is the same company as MDF but they have higher concentrations of ingredients (e.g. higher % of AHAs). I'm not so sure if that's a good thing for dry skin.
MDF does make a dry skin trial kit which might be a better way to go until you figure out if these products are suitable for you. The kit contains: Facial Cleanser, 2 oz., Facial Creme, 0.5 oz., Moisture Defense Antioxidant Creme, 0.5 oz., Vit-A-Plus Eye Creme, 0.3 oz. and Total Protector 30, 0.3 oz
Mind you, I think if I had dry skin I would be turning towards Dr Hauschka instead. But that's just my personal preference. |
