I am so dry and live in such a dry climate that I am constantly flaky (my new years resolution is yes, to drink more water ). I want the thickest, most emollient, hydrating cream ever for night. What is the thickest, best one out there you've tried? Here is what I've tried and still use some for day:
Babor HSR
Lauder ReNutrive Ultimate
Externa 27 (do they still make this???)
creme de lamer
I just bought B5 gel from skinceuticals to add to it.
Anything thicker than these? I don't usually break out unless it's allergy related and thats just with Pevonis...i think... Thanks

I would first try a couple of professional facials because they can get right in there & exfoliate without ruining your skin. Then keep up with the exfoliating at home & use a cream cleanser that doesn't strip the natural oil in your skin & maybe some Vitamin C serum. You may have a bit more luck with the creams afterwards. For what it's worth, that's my tips. Good luck! |

Eucerin emolilent is the thickest cream I have ever tried. Also, remember Nivea cream in teh blue jar, that stuff is pretty think but doesn't contain any antioxidents or age fighting ingredients.
I have had good luck using pure jojoba oil on my dry face.
Good Luck |

I once bought Orlane B21 Super Moisturising Concentrate Cream which was really good. I don't have dry skin so I gave it to my mum and she loved it. I don't think it's thick but it is super moisturising.
Also, Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream is very rich. Also not extremely thick, but should be good for very dry skins. |

I LOVE the texture of the Decleor Nutri-delice Ultranourishing Cream! It's thick and rich as butter right from the fridge, but sinks right into skin. |

Rosa Y Fruta has a deluxe version of their Ambrosia cream that is super hydrating and emolliant. I only use it at night b/c it is so thick and creamy.
Very expensive, but take a look at the ingredients in it and you'll see why!
I use the regular Ambrosia cream for day and love, love, love it! : )

Naturallyhappy31,
Valmont's Regenera 1 is an extremely thick day and night cream that is easily absorbed. My cheeks tend toward dryness and flakiness, so this winter, I've been using this sparingly on top of my regular moisturizer (coupled with weekly exfoliation) with immediate success.
If you are at the point of fustration, I suggest you consider RuthMarion's advice. A good facial always normalizes my skin, and afterwards, I feel good about my appearance. |

Hi, I saw that Mabsy already mentioned Dr. Hauschka rose day cream. It's very rich, and works well for me as a night cream. I seldom use it during the day since it's very rich and takes a long time to sink into the skin. |

The Body Deli's Cream De La Rose is truely the riches, thickest facial cream I have ever used. Lovely product. Kind of melts into your face. I use is over my AlphaDermaCE during these cold New England months. |

Hi
Have your tried a balm at night? Decleor's Angelic is fantastic on my dry skin and if I need more moisture I just add my day cream on top. But I'm not sure if this will be enough for you (I live in London)
However, the thickest cream I've every tried is from the Ella Bache range try their web site.www.ellabache.co.uk
Happy New Year.

Amrosia from RyF and Dr H Rose Day Cream have a very different texture so it's a bit hard for me to compare. The Rose Day Cream is a thick cream whereas the Ambrosia texture is different - it pretty much melts on contact with my fingers. I've only used the Ambrosia a couple of times so far (literally!) so I'm not the best person to answer this but they seem to have about the same level of moisturisation. Leeleedeedee has used the Rose Day Cream for a long time and she has also use Ambrosia for a while now so she hopefully can give you a better idea, she also has dry skin so that makes her even more qualified for this question ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

Decleor, if I recall, has some good thick hydrating moisturizers. I tried some samples last Winter and really liked it.
Dr. H Rose Day Cream is good as well. |

Thanks for that rec I was just thinking of getting this one and you have helped me make my mind up.
I have tried the Dr Haushka Rose cream but I felt like it was just sitting there on my skin and not really working. |
