Sounds like you are chemical sensitive, especially with your doctor's cream.
You may want to try some natural alternatives. When I was in Toronto, I saw a new natural makeup brand called The Organic Make-up Company (www.organicmakeup.ca). The line performs well and is pure.
I've been reading a lot about them here and can attest that I have seen clients who were skin sensitive, but were able to use natural makeups. In some cases, the more pure it is the better.
As with all cosmetics, do a patch test before using them throughout. |

little fish,
I have super sensitive skin as well. My skin gets irritated very easily and develops into full blown contact dermatitis.
I cannot use glycolic acid, vitamin c, jojoba oil, scrubby exfoliants, and all the natural skin care lines I have tried irritated my face.
Right now I am having luck with La Roche Posay Toleriane cleanser and moisturzer. They have only a few ingredients and fragrance free.
Definitely do a patch test prior to apply any product on your whole face. Have hydrocortisone cream ready for emergency repair.
Good luck in finding something for your skin. Sensitive skin is a pain |

I think that Decleor Harmonie Essentiele cream might be good for you. It's very good for calming down any reactions and rashes and good for sensitive skin in general (unless you have an allergy to one of the natural ingredients). It's a very gentle and nice cream though. Of course, I think you should consult your Dr before stopping to you use the cream that he/she gave you in the first place. |
