Muscle cells cannot turn into fat cells any more than your fingernail cells can turn into hair cells. Besides, let's say this article was true -- plenty of women are paying a small fortune to put fat into their faces, so this would be a bonus! |

Very funny Softskin I wonder if it is a good news for all of you doing facial exercise...
I have mentioned in my prevoius post that skin under my eyes is sagging a bit and sagging got worse after 4 years of using Botox. This article just confirmed my fears. |

DarkMoon, sorry but I cannot follow you- why would anyone shoot his butt with Botox?
To have more fat ie muscles that will atrophy???
It is obvious that muscle cannot turn into fat- it was a wrong title for this topic! Now all posters are focusing on this instead on problem of muscle atrophy in a whole body not only in area treated by Botox. |

Somebody needs to explain to these ''scientists'' the difference between adipogenesis and myogenesis. It is impossible for muscles to turn into fat. |

Your skin probably would have sagged anyway since you would have lost elasticity over the years, which is a normal part of aging. Any fat in that area would form bags as a result. What Botox does is prevent more wrinkles from forming, not more bags from forming. |
