I just received an Acne LightStim light I ordered online from skinstore. I am worried that it might not be the original Acne LightStim. Is there anyway to tell if it is a fake? I have the Anti Aging LightStim I bought from QVC but the acne one I bought from skin store looks different.
The anti aging one is rounder at the head, has more lights, and the CE is engraved on the back of the anti aging one. On the Acne LightStim I bought from skin store, it is flat on the head, does not have the same amount of lights, and the CE on the back is in ink, not engraved. Does this seem like a fake to anyone, and if you have the acne lightstim, please let me know what yours looks like so I can compare. I don't want to have paid all this money for a fake!!! |

| I would highly doubt the skinstore would sell anything fake. Maybe you have 1 new one from QVC, and 1 of the older models from the skinstore? |

Did they release a new model of the acne light or just the anti-aging one? I know from the pictures and descriptions on the AALS thread the new and old anti-aging models are slightly different. Maybe that's why you notice the difference? |

| skinstore is a very reputable online store, I ll not worry about the device being a fake but it sure can/does happen from ebay purchases. Few years ago I ended up buying fake lancome creams from ebay, I complained to the seller and he did refund me the amout right away. Hopefully ebay has improved since then! |

| Thanks so much for the replies on the skin store. I feel a little bit better now. I had never heard of the store before and was worried. Glad others have bought from them before. |

| It does have those same bumps on the handle. It doesn't show the back of it though. I'm positive now I have the right one, I didn't know they made the others slightly different. |

It sounds as if you have it sorted out, but if you still have any doubt I know from reading the AALS thread that Steve from Lightstim is very willing to help in any way possible for customers with questions/concerns.  |

Did you see the video at the bottom of the page?
They show it there from different angles.
The device is quite big and i see LightStim and some other things written in inc. |
