Hi,
I was wondering if you(or anybody else)can help me with my skin care products.I don't know if you remember but I posted before asking about some products which can help with my melasma.I did use Cellcosmet products, but I do think that they are very expensive and I would like to try something else.I am talking about vit C products and retin A.I did use A Retinol product from Estee Lauder, which it was OK, and I am using now a serum and a moisturizer from Chrisian Dior which are nice but not as nice as Cellcosmet.So, my Retinol product is gone and my serum and moisturizer will be gone soon, so I have to try something else.
Being on the same age group like you  , please let me know what are the best products to stop the aging process and treat my melasma

To get rid of my melasma along my jawline, I used Retin-A 0.01% at night and C+ Firming serum (cellularskinrx.com) each day. I also used sunscreen religiously (and still do). The Retin-A you need a prescription for from your derm but if you don't want to get a scrip. then I would suggest using Linda Sy's Green Cream which I believe has the highest concentration of retinol you can get in a non-prescription product. (Lindasy.com?) I would also (if your skin can tolerate it) do an AHA (glycolic/lactic acid) peel maybe once each week in those areas to further remove the dark spots. But if you do this, you absolutely MUST use sunscreen. AHA's can aggravate hyperpigmentation if you are not vigilant about protecting newly revealed skin from the sun.
If you still do not feel like you are getting the results you want after about 8 weeks or so on this regimen, I would recommend that you try the Tri-Luma or Lustra products (also prescription products but have hydroquinone, a bleaching agent, in them as well as a couple of other chemicals that are supposed to help with melasma.)
If you're wanting a quick fix and willing to hide out in your house for a week or so, I'd find a derm/aesthetician who will do a TCA peel on you. TCA is powerful and will make you peel and molt like a snake but supposedly, removes the dark spots like magic. Lasering the areas is also an option but more expensive and again, involves some down time.
