Ive been using retin-a for about 7 months, had a period when i was using it intermittently but most of this period been using it every other night or so..
Just lately, in the last month Ive noticed some definite lines under my right eye, just where my cheek raises up when I smile. Is this due to the initial effects of retin-a drying out your skin (the retin-a uglies) or is it a real wrinkle? Shouldn't retin-a be smoothing things like this out by now??
Did anyone else see new lines 6/7 months into using retin-a or did those retin-a 'uglies' occur earlier? |

I'm looking forward to my undereye lines going away too, but I'm only 4 months in.
I found this thread that might be helpful:

and scroll down to keli13's post.
Cheers,
Kay |

Thanks Kay - I had read about keli13s experience with retina under the eye, thats partly why I was looking forward to seeing some good changes there by now!
I guess I really want to know, can you still get the uglies 7 months in, or are these actually real wrinkles i need to do something more about
On the upside, in general my eye area is looking a little smoother everywhere else, and refreshed ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

I just posted this on another thread, but I've had no luck with under eye lines. And, I've been using retin a for about two years now. ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

IF YOUR SKIN IS TOO DRY (and it should be from using retin A) IT WILL START TO LOOK OLD.Use A REALLY GOOD MOISTURIZER.

I second more moisturisation. Also were the lines there before you started the Retin A. If yes then they are real wrinkles, if no then they could be dryness. |

Thanks, it could be dehydration, the lines have just developed in the last month..
I used to use vasleine around my eyes, it kept the dryness away, thikn I will try this again for a while and see how it affects the lines.. |
