Is the skin dry? Or are there red bumps that are itchy? I ask, because this could be eczema/dermatitis, which is a real pain!!!
Try something soothing, such as Decleor's Essential Balm. Your doctor may recommend a cortisone creme and taking an Omega Fatty-3 supplement.
If your skin is merely dry, try something exfoliating and moisturizing. MD Formulations Vit-A-Plus Hand & Body Creme is a good one to try! |

I used to get something similar on my fingers many years ago. I recall that they tended to occur mostly on the inside edge of my index and second fingers as well as on my thumb, and almost always on my right hand. They weren't itchy or red, and in fact, my hands tended to be somewhat clammy at times (I know, ugh). I recall reading a description of this condition at one point, but don't recall what it was (sorry, not a lot of help there). But it wasn't eczema. I think it was related to stress or something (I was at university at the time!) |

It could be psoriasis? Its harmless enough - just overproduction of skin cells, but, unsightly. Its passed on genetically. I get it from time to time when I am stressed (just on my hand like you!), I got a cream from my dermatologist called Alphosyl. It doesnt smell the greatest but is *extremely* effective for treating the scale! Hope this is of some use. |
