there's this oil in UK called Bio Oil available in major boots and pharmacies and its really quite astonishing
i find it very good for winter coz it forms a protective film over my skin which won't quit and doesn't feel greasy either and cheap
http://www.bio-oil.info/
i recommend it. its little known and no adverts nor hype about it but it produces good skin conditions! =) |

I have got some of this, a little goes a long way. It cleared up a really bad bout of acne a couple of years ago, you have reminded me to dig this out of the cupboard |

Ive had this for a few years and it does last forever. I used it on a few old scars and over time it did help flatten them out and take the redness away. I think this as with lots of other products does work if you use it on a regular basis.
Its also great to put a few drops of it in the bath and for when your skin feeling a bit dry. |

i think if you google for it
bio oil
perhaps you can find some online pharmacy or even ebay which might sell it?
i like it esp for *cuticles* or anywhere that is dry actually.
i find the idea of "Dry" oil thrilling. =P
but i must say i never tried it on my stretch marks that are like more than a decade old. i just don't think anything will fade them. |

Lots of little pharmacies stock this but actually from what Ive seen it looks quite a bit cheaper if you buy it online.
If you have red stretch marks its worth giving it a try. Though I don't think anything fades the ones that are silvery white |

I was introduced to bio oil by a lady in her 60s, she had some sort of face surgeory and I couldn't even see the scar until she told me.
I had just suffered a 2nd degree ironing burn on my hand and wanted something to get rid of the ugly triangle scar on my hand...
I guess I tried the oil too late, only after the scab had fallen off for a week or so.
But I used the oil for about 3 months, and the scar has no edge anymore, and the deep part of the burn has filled up nicely, and the scar doesnt go purple when I'm cold.
About the stretch marks -- I had a friend who said her new stretch marks would go a green colour??? I have only ever seen white/silver ones before!! |
