I spoke to Winnie about this product a while ago...
Been using it from about 19th December. I haven't got varicose veins YET!, but do have so many spider veins that I hate so much. Sometimes when I lie down the tops of my legs go a little numb so I must have some circulation problems..
This lotion strengthens the vein walls and improves circulation, it contains Vitamin P (Rutin and Citrus Bioflavenoids) and horse chestnut, grapeseed extract. It also removes impurities, which will aid circulation. It helps to diminish spider veins and broken capilaries.
This lotion has done wonders for my spider veins, the really bad ones are far less noticeable and some of the smaller one are hardly there anymore. My circulation has improved quite a bit as well, so I'm a very happy bunny...I can't comment on what it will do for Varicose veins yet, as I dont have any!!!

Suzanne,
I am so happy to hear your results. Could you tell me how you are applying Varicose Vein Lotion? Do you do it 2x's a day? On warm legs after shower or bath? I am curious because I feel that the consistant right application makes a big difference in the results.
I know it has helped my spider veins a great deal. On my right leg I have bad Varicose Veins behind my knee. They are not gone (was not expecting that) but less swollen and my leg throbs so much less.

Winnie
I apply it morning and night. At night I apply it to warm legs after I've had a bath, and in the morning I apply it after I've had a wash!, so my legs wont really be warm, especially in this damn cold weather we are having!!!
I mean't to say as well my legs don't ache half as much as they used to. The spider veins on my legs are so much less visable now.
Am I applying it right??!!! |

You sure are!!! I think the warm legs after your bath is the key. If you wanted to take the extra time during the day, you could put a warm moist face coths on the troublesome areas then apply the lotion. The way you are doing it sounds great. The consistancy is the key.

I just can't seem to get this cream to absorb into my skin. I have applied it on a dry face, a warm damp face, after applying JB prep. I'll give it another go tonight. My husband's skin absorbs it just fine. |

Thanks Winnie! I do it every night and morning without fail!...

I can't say it absorbs fully into my skin. I massage it in gently, but there is still a white film on my legs, I normally just leave it for a few mins and it disappears!.. |

Apparently I’m an idiot because I had no idea you could get varicose veins on your face! I thought it was something that only afflicted your limbs, like mostly on the legs...I guess you really can learn something knew everyday! |

The facial veins they are talking about are spider veins "broken capilaries." If you don't have any Carrie you are lucky!!! |

Sorry, I should have read the Subject line before I orginally posted. I just assumed it was the Couperose Cream by JB - which reduces the appearance of spider veins and broken capillaries on the face. |

Now broken caps, I have...I was just noticing an ugly one under the base of my nostril this morning – probably from blowing my nose too hard last month when I was down with allergies. |

Glad to hear you had such good results Gucci! I'm using this too and it has faded my spider veins a bit but they're still there. I've been really bad with using it lately though I've got to be more disciplined with it.... |

Start using it morning and night and you'll see a big difference! I promise! |

The whole thing is consistency with the JB Vein lotion. I am bad too Mabsy. My friend is being very consistant for three months and she has had marked improvement. |

There's *some* furniture. Mind you my project for the weekend is to add a shelf under the bathroom sink. There's about a meter of vertical space and no shelf in the middle! What a waste! Soon, I'll have more space *rubs hands together*
Yeah, I know that the lotion is effective. I did see improvement with it but for some reason dropped off the wagon. I'm back on now and trying to use it consistently. Promise! |

Has anyone tried the Couperose Cream yet? I have broken capillaries on the side of my nose and a few new ones that appeared on my cheek. I'm not sure which product to order. It sounds like the vericose vein lotion works great on the face.
Winnie or someone can you please give me some input on which I should buy. |

The Couperose Cream is more suited for your face. For facial broken capillaries this is JB's suggested treatment.

I remember with one of my EDS orders I received a sample of a Cellcosmet product specifically for spider veins that I really really loved. I'm at work right now, and I can't remember the name of it, but it was something that had to do with draining. If anyone's interested I can look at the almost empty tube when I get home. The problem is, I can't find the freakin' product *anywhere*! It's horrible! It's like saying, "Here is this awesome product! Experience for free how awesome this product is! NOW YOU CAN NEVER HAVE IT!!! Mwahaha!!"
*sigh* |

Okay, I was irritated that I couldn't remember the name of it, so I took a look at it anyway. It's the Cellcosmet "Leg N' Foot-XT." On the back, it says that it's a veinotonic, which purportedly from everything I've read diminishes spider veins either through the use of nutrients or any number of mechanisms, some feasible sounding and some kind of hoaky. But regardless, this stuff did have a noticeable effect, although I don't know how permanent yet, but for subtle spider veins it rocks so far.
But again, I still can't find it anywhere, which sucks, because it has a wonderfully tingly-minty feel!! |

I just did a reply to this and somehow hit a wrong key and deleted it all. So here goes again. I was looking for the product that you are interested in, but so far I haven't been able to find anything by that exact name. I did come across Cellcosmet Leg and Foot Stimulator which is very close, and I think might be what you are looking for. You mentioned draining a couple of posts back and it was mentioned in the definiton of this. And thankfully draining is a word that I actually know the definiton to because most of the medical jargon has left me a bit crosseyed. The fact that it is about 2:00 in the morning is probably not going to make me any more lucid, but here goes. I'll print the description below, but as far as I can tell one of its uses is that the stimulator helps to keep varicose veins from turning into a more serious problem. That among other things. It is also Menthol which sounds like it could be your 'minty' cream. I hope that if this is not actually the product that you are searching for that it will hopefully at least give you an idea on where to locate the Leg N' Foot Stimulator. The website iswww.SpaSkin.com.
Description:
This light, non-greasy menthol scented cream instantly relieves over-heated feet and tired legs. Its unique formula, with its original texture based on a moisturizing and smoothing Hydrasensorial Complex, provides a triple action: Veinotonic - helps stimulate the venous return circulation. Draining - thanks to its specific complex based on essential oils. Refreshing Effect - thanks to its Cyclo-Menthol Complex.
Ideal before, during, and after a long journey to prevent veinostasis. Provides a long-lasting sensation of lighter legs and cool feet. |

I want to try this!!!! *throws a bit of a tantrum* I must say I never really looked into Cellcosmet body products. All of their face products that I have tried have been really good but they're expensive so I'm trying to limit what I get addicted to If I start using Cellcosmet on my body I might as well throw in the towel and admit that I'll be renting for the rest of my life because I won't be able to make any mortgage repayments! |

Wow! Thank you Marella!! You're the coolest! I guess that would make sense that the reason I couldn't find it is that they package it under a different name now. I don't know how old that sample is (although I received it over the summer) but it feels and smells amazing.
*sigh* I know it was probably better not knowing in a way because of how pricey Cellcosmet is (especially for a student) and how quickly one can go through body lotions and shtuff. (I feel your pain, Mabsy!) Oh well, like that ever stops us in the end!! Hehehe! Step 1) Buy first, Step 2) Kick in butt later, Step 3) let the feeling of new product bliss heal the kick!! |

Rusalka: You're welcome. It was a nice bit of nocturnal puzzle for my sleepless brain even if I was fading near the end when I somehow deleted my entire post to you and had to redo it. That is when it was definitely time to totter off to bed.
Mabsy: I knew that she was going to have you when she wrote the word 'minty'. I always think of you now when minty is involved in any way. I was sniffing at a bar of Laura Mercier Mint Leaf soap through the wrapper at Nordstroms the other day trying to decide if I was actually thinking of buying an $18 bar of soap even if it was a very large bar. I kept thinking that it would be so cool and refreshing, but I managed to resist, but still thought of you. I saw on the website later that they now have a gel body wash and body milk in the Mint Leaf. It was probably just as well that I didn't know that at the time. My credit card has taken a serious beating in the last month. A big 'Ouch'! Ah but what is a girl going to do? Well except maybe hide it from her hubby. |
