I have always wondered - it sounds silly...
Should I apply foundation on eye lids as well?

| If I'm using liquid foundation then I use it over the eyelids when I want my eye shadow to last longer. With mineral makeup I always apply it to the entire face, including eyelids. |

| Hi Jenny - I find that an eye base before shadow is a life saver....foundation doesn't work as well for me - It absolutely requires setting with powder -- but then again I'm not using mineral makeup so perhaps a powder setting is unneccessary with a mineral-based shadow(?)....Smashbox Cosmetics has a serious lip and lid primer that I would highly recommend....you only need a tad, your eyeshadow shades will remain true and last all day and night! |

Thks ladies
I'll check out lid primers. I was initially looking at Jane Iredale's lid primer but read some where in this forum that it did not make the eye shadow stay that much longer. I think I will look for Smashbox but my hunch tells me that will not be only thing I buy when I get there....

| I always put foundation on my lids, otherwise my eyeshadow melts off within an hour! In fact, I frequently skip foundation on my face and put it only on my lids! |
