Trying to decide between Cosmetic Skin Solutions C + E Ferulic Serum and Paula's Choice Resist Super Antioxidant Serum....
My skin is slightly dry mainly in the winter and I am not breakout prone...slight pigmentation and I will probably not be able to use it on my sensitive neck...
Thanks for your opinions/advice.... |

I would choose PC AO Serum mainly because it is much more gentle for skin than the C + E Ferulic Serum. It also contains a cocktail full of antioxidants rather than just a few ingredients. |

thanks for your response....one concern I have is that neither is in a pump. Any concerns about deterioration of the ingredients?...CSS is in a dark glass bottle with a "dropper" and the PC is in a tube....wondering about oxygen at each opening... |

I don't think you have to worry about that. As long as it is not a jar. The CSS Serum has preserved its colour long after I opened it, it didn't turn dark, but I kept it in the fridge. |

The above product gently exfoliates the skin and unclogs pores without leaving a greasy feeling on your skin. It helped me a lot with my blemishes and blackheads. I use it once every two days, at night. It does irritate the skin a bit, you will have a slight tingling sensation, but it will go away in a few days and you will be left with a smooth and clean skin... |

There is a problem that I find with PC's AOX, is that when you squeeze it enough and let go, it sucks air back in, which could be problematic. I asked Paula myself, and she said that the amount of air sucked back in isn't enough to degrade the products. However, I still think it's possible, so I just transfer the contents into an airless pump that I bought off another website. I think the CSS dropper would essentially be the same as jar packaging. You're exposing it to a lot of air every time you take it out... But I've personally never used it before so I can't comment on how stable it actually is. Again, I would consider getting an airless pump - they're cheap too.

Which one are you referring to? CSS or PC? |

I would choose PC AOX, I find it really nice. Goes on smoothly, feels lovely on the skin. I never had any problem with it going off.
I have dry skin and slight pigmentation. I am actually going to buy it again. I went off it to try a different Vit C but find the new one is giving me some blackheads on my nose ( I have never suffered with blackheads!!!) |

That's very strange how some people experience blackheads from vit C serums. I've read it several times on here before. Perhaps the high concentration of vit c leaves some left over on the skin rather than be absorbed and is oxidzed instead? |

I use CSS C E Ferulic (two bottles so far) and they have never turned colour. Skinceuticals on the other hand has never been clear... go figure ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

I agree, it also contains a load of other beneficial antioxidants for the skin. |
