I know that oxybenzone is not photostable.
Is this somehow helped in combination with Octinoxate?
I'm thinking of using eye cream with Otinoxate 6% and oybenzone 0.5%...is this very unstable? Will it help if I use LRP over it?
Should I just scrap the eye cream for one without sunscreen?
THANKS! |

Hi CN! I'm not an "expert," but I've done a lot of research on this topic, so I will try to help. Unfortunately, an eyecream with JUST Oxybenzone and Octinoxate is not going to give you the UVA coverage that you need to ward off the aging effects of the sun. The good news is that I think it's still ok to use it (or even an eye crem without sunscreen), just be sure to put a good, full-spectrum sunscreen over your whole face afterwards. Hope this helps--- let me know if you have any other questions! |
