My sister is getting married next weekend and as her bridesmaid dresses, she picked silk dresses. I'm a little on the chubby side and it seems like any kind of panties I wear show lines.
Can anyone give me suggestions on what should be worn under a silk dress?
Oh, and if anyone has suggestions on the best bra to hide armpit fat, that would be great! |

Have you every looked at the stuff from Spanx? Works great! A little pricey though. |

You might want to get a one-piece shapewear garment that holds everything in at once, with no visible seams.
Barenecessities.com has a good selection, and Bloomingdale's has an extensive selection of shapewear, especially Spanx. Miraclesuit and Spanx
are the most popular. (Spanx has a solution to almost every shape problem. Not sure how comfortable it is, but worth test-driving it anyway.)
Wearing a slip over the shapewear will help finish the look so the silk doesn't stick to you in places you don't want it to.

Spanx for sure. I have a full slip that smooths everything..it is light weight and comfy, yet holds everything in. I feel I'm a size or two smaller when I wear it.
I know other women swear by the spanx shorts like underwear to smooth under everything. I think they're called city shorts.. something like that. |
