My bathroom is overflowing with tins, bottles, jars etc. I want to somehow organize it all.
Vanity trays are usually impractical, and I'm afraid that I'd forget about half the stuff if I put it in a train case.
Alternatives?

Ha, good question! I have pretty fabric-lined baskets on a shelf in my closet that hold back-up supplies of products as well as items I don't use as often. I have stacking plastic containers with lids that also hold products. The lids snap on. I picked those up at Target. I have a plastic container under the bathroom sink that holds the items I use every day. It always looks kind of cluttered though. Thankfully no one else uses that area so no one else has to see it! |

You should keep your skincare products out of the bathroom. The humidity and temperature changes can degrade the ingredients |

^ Not everyone has that option, oasisjc
I just found some inexpensive white wire organizers for spices in the shape of stairs so you can stack things & still be able to view them on the different tiers. There's empty space underneath it as well for stashing less used items, so you're not losing any ground, just making use of vertical space.
I was thrilled to find them... they were only $3.50 each at wonderbucks here in Vancouver. |

Those look good, but mine seems more space efficient.
Its I guess plastic coated wire like your first picture, but from the SIDE it looks like stairs, like this:

So graduated steps
* oops, my diagram didn't work. Just imagine a staircase from the side. Google is failing me. |

Yes, or like this: http://www.containerstore.com/shop/kitchen/cabinetOrganizers/upperCabinets?productId=10028616&green=8dced44b-5eb3-4fee-89ba-d783012c11f0
Mine's awesome though, since it seems higher for extra room underneath & the sides are completely open so easy to shift things & reach under there. |

Most products are recommended to be stored in a cool dry place. When put in the refrigerator (which is actually supposed to be a good storage method) the products get to cold to apply. I store mine in a cupboard and always make sure to close it after use.
You can actually purchase mini refrigerated vanity cases to store your cosmetics in also. These look very convenient. |
