Anybody got any suggestions for reducing pore size on my cheeks please? I've had acne for quite a while but I've managed to finally get that under control (and the scarring) so I'm now very aware of the size of my pores on my cheeks. However, this area specifically is really prone to dryness/flakiness/itchiness so I can't use anything that's going to dry the area out. I've recently started using the NutraSonic skin brush which I really love, but I'm wondering if this might've made my pores appear larger? It's difficult to tell as I don't know if the pores have become more obvious because I'm using the brush, or because I'm more aware of them now I'm less focused on my spots and scars! Anyway, any advice would be really appreciated, thanks in advance |

Little Miss, there is nothing that actually reduces pore size. You can apply a matte primer to get "the appearance" of smaller pores. I like Skinn orchid gel. |

SusieQ is right, there is nothing that reduces pore size. However good exfoliation can help smooth them down temporarily. Makeup is your best bet though, use a good primer over the top of them and then tap cream to powder foundation over the top. This method is the only one that has worked for me. |

I read Dr Denese's book and she recommends exfoliation via glycolic pads and serums with anti oxidants instead of heavy creams among other things to reduce dry skin and pores.
I tried some of the things and definitely hydration of the skin reduces the appearance of pores as well as the lines.
I tried HA serum mixed with EA cermide capsules with some success as well as HA mixed with oils like almond, rosehip and a bit of glycerin on damp skin and it makes a big difference. Unfortunately the hydration does not last as it seems to escape after a day at work so I need to figure long lasting hydration out. Primer does not help seal it in very much. |
