Hi everyone,
This is a classic "girl" question so I hope someone can help me.
I just recently bought a whole bunch of Yonka products at EDS. The thing is, I'm a student right now and I travel between two states pretty often. I was thinking of buying another set of Yonka products -- that way, I can keep one set at home and one set at school. Makes sense, right? I mean, it's hard enough to pack "light" already!
My question to you is: do you know if products lose their potency after a few months? The longest I'll leave products sitting around (in one state) is probably 3 months. My aesthetician always tells me to never buy the "bulk size" of face products because they lose their potency after a while. I was wondering if the same is true for smaller sized products . . . I'd have to have two sets that are losing their potency on me!
The alternative, of course, is to pack all my products with me every time I travel back and forth from home to school.
Please help if you have any thoughts!

Hello Chunlisa,
For my month long field trips away from home and my lovely cosmetic cabinets, I'd like to buy those empty glass jars and plastic bottles from a local healthstore ( better quality for make- them- yourself stuff) and squeeze in just enough amount of every skin cream that I can not live without to carry them with me. For more light sensitive and fragile products ( usually come in smaller size and tight container) I'd rather have two sets, one at home and one on the road with me. That's why I think EDS is the greatest place to shop, spend some extra $$$ and Magda will give you a bonus product that may be worth over 25% of your total order. As for the product's potency, IMHO, it should be greater than 3 months. The most fragile skin products I've known are from FANCL ( they have no preservatives) usually last 90 days after opening. Hope this will help! ~_^ |

No need to worry, for unless otherwise stipulated on the packaging, know that your products should be good for about two years. This is the typical lifespan of products, when stored properly. Don't expose them to extreme heat or cold, harsh/hot lighting, etc. Make sure they're capped securely, and to keep bacteria at-bay, try not to dip your fingers into cremes. Use a cotton swab/Q-Tip instead. No double-dipping! |
