I think I am going to try the pressed base from Jane Iredale and understand that I probably will need to "spritz" my face afterwards. I have never purchased such a product and am looking for a good first choice. Does it take some getting used to? It sounds funny to me to have to spray my face! |

I absolutely love Jurlique's Rosewater Freshner. Its a gentle formula that smells like roses and keeps skin hydrated and fresh. |

I am a fan of Aubrey's sparking mineral water facial mist thingie (not totally sure of the name). It's the only one I've ever tried but it is very nice and refreshing and it smells good too. |

Why not go with the JI facial spritzer? I really like it. |

I want to try the JI balance/antioxidant spritzer...good for oily skins. They also have another called D20 for all skin types |

I just started using the Cellex-C toner a few weeks ago -- good results so far, but it does sting a bit on application. It is great for removing the fine layer of dead skin and leave my face baby smooth after use. (Not sure about the "firming" part yet). It also bills itself as a cleanser and says to rub with a washcloth -- it you do this you might get some tan residue that even the best cleansers miss (yuk!)
I like it. (Tip - cover your lips when spraying this or it will sting...) Otherwise it feels cleansing & refreshing....
good luck! |

I’ve been using the JI D2O spritzer as a moisturizer during the day (I have super-oily skin) and I can’t say enough about it: rave, rave, rave!! |

Can someone explain to me why you need to spritz your face after using JI pressed base? |

Well, as I said, I don’t use the spritzer as they intended for it to be used but my understanding is that some ladies say that there face feels dry and cakey and/or fine lines/wrinkles and pores are accentuated when using a mineral makeup so spritzing after applying your makeup is supposed to make your face look/feel ‘dewey’ and it’s supposed to help set your makeup.
I ordered samples of JI pressed powder foundation fromwww.skin-etc.com, and I found the following links to be helpful:
• FAQs about Jane Iredale products - http://www.skin-etc.com/freqasques.html
• JI common makeup application problems - http://www.skin-etc.com/appr.html
• JI suggested makeup application techniques http://www.skin-etc.com/janiraptec.html

I used this a few years ago and liked it quite a bit. I am adding it to my shopping list because I need it now that I am wearing minerals again. Thanks for reminding me of it

JI D2O, Jurlique Rose spray, or the Sircuitskin spray.
I have recently tried the Colorescience (new line by owner of Bare Minerals) spray with D2O and was very sorely disappointed, which was also the case for the rest of the products I bought! |

Mabsy - You were disappointed by the D2O or by the ColorScience products? |

Sorry, to clarify, I was very disappointed with the ColoreScience spray (which has d2o in it). I like the JI D2O spray! |
