I tried it before, it is OK if you don't mind the smell. It make your skin smooth but not oily. |

on another thread someone was going on about avocado oil..that is got rid raised brown spots on her chest ...you'd think if it does that it would have to be good for your skin. I keep meaning to buy some and try it out. |

Some people like it, some people love it, but some people hate it too. It all depends on how your skin reacts too it as it can be a bit comedogenic |

Coconut oil has more potential to clog pores supposedly. I haven't heard anything bad about avocado oil but when I tried it, it made me break out so I stopped using it on my face and use it on my scalp instead. |

I love using oils on my face - coconut oil is good but I havent tried it on my face for a while - it makes a great hair treatment too as it is apparently one of the few oils that can actually penetrate the hair.
I read a lot of stuff about coconut oil in the past and it's great to take internally too - it's just a matter of finding a good organic virgin brand that retains all of the good stuff but leaves it with a pallatable taste. Here in Australia I buy one from Loving Earth and so far that has been the one I have liked the taste of the best.
I'm not sure if people buy into what supermodels say but I read recently that Miranda Kerr takes up to 4 tablespoons a day of the stuff by mixing it into her green tea drink - she claims it is what keeps her hair and skin glowing. (I think I read it on her blog after an interview included the link.)
Despite it being an oil it is apparently very good for the thyroid too and can trigger healthy metabolism and weight loss. |

Coconut oil is great for hair! I use it as a pre shampoo treatment and it leaves my very dry hair soft!
I got mine in the grocery store in the ethnic food section.
I have not tried it on my face. I am very clog prone so I won't.
I do like other oils for face. I use a little squalane on my face and it works well. |

It's very healthy. In addition to everything you've listed, it's actually one of the few oils that can increase the health of your heart, rather than clog it up |

I remember reading somewhere that coconut oil clog pores. Coconut oil will turn solid if u place it inside the refrigerator. |

Lol, coconut oil is solid here except on the hot summer days. Coconut oil broke me out unfortunately but my hair loves it.
I have used the following oils on my face with success - rosehip, squalane, avocado, grapeseed & macadamia. |

I've used coconut oil on my face and on my body, I like it. I love the smell. It doesn't clog my pores. I found it really hydrating especially during the cooler months when I my skin is drier. I won't say I received great benefits or saw results from using it. There are other oils I do prefer over coconut. |

Thank you for the replies.
I have used it 2 nights on my face now and its going pretty good. I am using m2 skin refinisher which peels the skin so i need the extra moisture.I am thinking about trying another oil on my face. |
