I see that some of the Dr. H haircare products aren't recommended for coloured or chemically treated hair. Could someone please recommend one that I can use on my dyed hair?
I get horrible zits in my hairline from many shampoos and want to if something less chemically will help clear it up. |

I can’t comment on whether or not the Dr. H haircare products are suitable for color-treated hair or not but I can tell you that if you’ve got your heart set on trying it, you can easily make it (or any shampoo or conditioner) more suitable for color-treated hair simply by adding 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to the bottle of shampoo and shake vigorously to mix it.
See, color-treated hair has a high alkaline level, so to counteract it your hair needs the acid in the vinegar to help maintain a normal PH level. My hair color of choice is usually in the red family, but red hair dyes are the ones that fade the fastest. But since I've been adding the vinegar to my color maintenance shampoo, I don't see any more pink water going down the drain when I rinse my hair, which means fewer trips to the salon for touchups! Another benefit of the vinegar is it acts as a (gentle) clarifier to help cut thru product buildup on your hair so you get shinier hair everytime.
Anyway, I know I didn’t answer your REAL question, but maybe this info can be helpful when deciding whether or not to take a chance on the Dr.H products!

Carrie,
I didn't know any of that..you're quite informative! I'll give it a try with a few of the ones I have that aren't specifically for colour!
Sounds like it may help the grease I can get built up at times
