I had been using Lancome's bi-facil eye makeup remover, but since I stopped wearing waterproof mascara, I'd rather find a product that is gentler on my eyes.
I've gone back to my old stand by, Marcelle for Sensitive Eyes ... but I'm not that happy with it. I find I have to swipe at my eyelashes too often and the more I use it the more eyelashes I'm removing.
While gentle is my preference, I also don't want it so gentle that it doesn't remove the mascara.
Anyone have any recommendations? |

It's not fancy and it's cheap but it works on either regular or waterproof, I just use my OCM oil blend let it melt the mascara then blot it off with a tissue! |

DM, do you not find that the oil gets in your eyes? I always get it in my eyes. |

No I do it before I do the OCM and I get all of it off when I clean my face! Believe me I can't tolerate oil around my eyes overnight it gets in them and I feel like there is a coating on my eyeballs all the next day. |

Believe it or not, i found L'Oreal Eye Make Up Remover works for me the best. I use it for many years already.
They have 2 versions: with and without oil. I prefer the one without. It works perfectly on all types of mascara and it is very gentle on the eyes. |

I love Nivea eye makeup remover. It's cheap and it works great for me. The skin around my eyes is very sensitive and this is the only product that doesn't aggravate it! |

Darphin gentle eye make-up remover is my all time favorite. My boyfriend buys it every time he goes to France. Very gentle, removes make up in one stroke and does not leave a film of oil on my eyes. |

LatteQueen, which Talika remover one do you use: The Lash Conditioning Cleanser or the Gentle Eye Cleanser?
RussianSunshine, can you only buy Darphin in France? While I'd love an excuse to go, I don't think my DH would go for it !!!
I'll take a look at both the L'Oreal and the Nivea. I can usually tell by smelling something if it is going to bother me. I have never had a lot of luck with the lower end lines (hope that didnt' sound snotty, because I don't mean it that way). I used to love L'Oreal Mascara, but now I can't wear it at all. I don't know whether there is more synthetic ingredients in the cheaper lines or what it is, but they make my eyes itch. I had to stop using it. I haven't tried any L'Oreal products since then. |

I also love Lancome one but after a while, I found that the oil is too greasy and switched to Chanel one which is great too, actually I prefer the Chanel one since it's made out of dry oil so it won't be greasy like the others.
Right now I just got the new eye m/u remover from Biotherm. It comes in a purple bottle and I was told that it helps condition the lashes and extends them as well! I'm loving Biotherm the best so far honestly |

Hi Christine ... Is the Biotherm one a gel? I had a Biotherm one (blue bottle) that was a gel. While it was gentle, I didn't like the gel as much. I found the liquid ones easier to use than the gels.
Puglove, I've never seen Klorane ... I'll look into that one as well. Do you buy it online or at a store. |

I use simple on my eyes, Ive used it for years and it just suits me well. I do always try samples of others, but I haven't found one I like more yet. It does often come up in magazines ect as a top choice, and it's excellent value for money too |

I bought it from the drugstore. Its a dark clear blue bottle. Its super gentle and smells fresh.
I've tried others, the other one that I like *almost* as much is the Lancome Bi-facil, but with the Lancome one, I find that I can get a bit oily...
I also 2nd the Chanel makeup remover. Smells great and works!
Klorane is a great cheap and effective alternative. |

The best eye makeup remover I've used is the one from Estee Lauder. |

I like "liniment oleocalcaire". It's gentle, cheap and has only 2 ingredients lol
It's olive oil and lime water (the mineral, not the fruit). 500ml is less than 5€. It gets all my makeup off in one swipe,no stinging,no red irritated skin and no dryness.
I use it instead of wipes on baby's butt, and it even got all his cradle cap crusts off.
It's nothing like baby wipes, much much more gentle. I don't know where you can get it in the US, but you could make your own quite easily. I'll post the recipe if anyone is interested. |

This is the one that I use too (the oil free version) and have been for years. I use it for every day mascara "clean up". If I've got on more serious eye shadow for going out, then I'll use Ponds cold cream, wiped off with a tissue, then wash my face, and clean up any excess makeup around my eyes with the L'Oreal remover on a Q-tip. |

The only that has ever worked for me, problem-free:

I've been alternating with the Bi-Facils (Lancome) and the Marcelle Sensitive. If I haven't put a lot of mascara on, the Marcelle does the trick. If I've gone a little heavy handed, the Bi-Facils takes it off the easiest without having to pull on my eyes too much. |

Love, love, love avocado oil. I use waterproof mascara, and the avo oil removes everything very nicely. It does get in my eyes when I'm not careful, but it doesn't bother me at all. |

My favourite eye & lip remover is [Innisfree] Apple Juicy Lip & Eye Remover
It is really good. It is easy to remove the eye & lip make-up, even waterproof one. No irritation & organic...gentle for everyday use.
Apple Scent is good! |

I used to use Neutrogena's eye makeup remover and it works like a charm. Relatively cheap and you can find it anywhere. However, since switching over to Fancl's MCO, I find that it removes my stubborn mascara well. |
