I received a sample of Line Release Under Eye Repair from Kate Somerville.
Wow.
This has now replaced Dremu Airbrush as my favorite eye product! I will have to start setting aside some money for a bottle of Line Release.
At 32½, don't have any fine lines yet. (knock on wood) If I become really dehydrated, sometimes, I notice a tiny but of crepiness, but only if I'm inspecting under really bright lighting, and using a magnifying mirror.
I'd like to keep things looking as good as they do now, thankyouverymuch!
This product ought to be used sparingly, as it is concentrated. I put on too much once, and broke-out with a couple millia. Now that I'm tapping (size of a pinhead) into the area, everything is okay.
Bright, refreshed eyes! Worth the money! |

I've been using this since last Friday and I like it too. I agree, it's very concentrated, so only use a small amount. Infact, the first few days I was using the same amount I used with my old eyecream and I noticed my concealor seemed to be disappearing quickly from under my eyes. So I cut back and just use a little ... still get enough moisture, but my makeup is staying in place better. I have fine lines and haven't been using it long enough to tell if it will diminish them (I don't have many though), but I definitely think it's keeping everything plumped up so far. So far I'm very pleased with everything I've been using from the line. |

does this only work for areas around the eye thats a bit dry?
what about dark circles and puffiness?
, agree Ibianca, this aint cheap...
for those who have used it do you think that cos its so concentrated and u only need a TINY bit of it, do u possibly think that it could last a whole year? |

I had requested more information from KS for some of the products. This is information from the PDF they sent me.

I have only been using it a week myself, so I can't comment on long term benefits. I do have dark circles, so I will be curious if this will benefit them (keep in mind though, that I haven't had luck with any products really for my dark circles ... I may see some minor lightening, but that's it).
I think this container MIGHT last me about 6 months. A same sized container of my old eye cream would last me about 3 - 4 months, so because I need less of this, I'm estimating about 6 months (ish).

Not to scare you or anyone but isn't ACETYL HEXAPEPTIDE-3 the same as argirline?
I've read some bad things about the latter |

Casper's Mum,
Does it burn slightly when you put it on...or maybe I should say, does it get a little warm?
I have been using it for a few weeks now...I haven't noticed anything spectacular. But I am like you, 33 and very few fine lines.
I plan on using the entire sample tube before making my decision.

Liz - I'm not CM, but over the past few days I've been using my sample tube of the eye cream. I've recently gone back to using Taz (every other night). I've noticed a little warming (good way of putting it) when applying it - but no other weird effects -- no puffiness, etc.
I like it, but not sure yet if I'm gonna shell out the big bucks for it. What I might do is order some more cleanser and ask them to send me more samples, THEN decide .

I've used it at least twice now. Yeah! I got my sample
I can't comment on my wrinkles, I think other products that I'm using hide any fine lines if I still have them.
Anyway, I found the cream felt tight/firming and I did feel a tingle/burning sensation.
In the morning, I did not notice anything spectacular but that should be good sign since I don't have issues with my eye area. |

No. Have never noticed an "warming". |

When you say that it helps with puffiness, do you mean under the eye or the eyelid? My only concern with my eyes is puffy eyelids. |

Can anyone advise the consistency of the cream and does it penetrate fairly quickly. I have found many thick eye creams will not absorb properly and just sit on my skin. There are a few exceptions to this so was just wondering what this one is like. |

It feels like a gel-based cream. |

I've only used a sample and did not order a full size as planned. Because recently I read that some of the ingredients are not good for your skin.
It seems that there is a debate and I want to hold off for now. |

I got a sample of this with my last EDS order and feel it's kinda overrated especially given the high price. Gave me milia, so now I can't use it everyday. Helped with my dark circles but did absolutely nothing for my fine lines. |

Hello everyone, I am getting a general feeling so far that this eye cream is over-rated and over-priced??? I LOVE the kate Somerville products that I am trying at the moment: exfoliating cleanser, toner and nourish moiisturiser. The Kate in a Jar is FANTASTIC! I am seriously thinking about the eye cream but it is rather exxy and I am happy so far with the PSF cranberry gel. I am on the lookout for a fabulous eye cream that will diminish the fine lines around my eyes. I want one that soaks in and not just sits there. Any suggestions? I will spend the earth only if the general consensus is magical!!!!!!! |

It's been awhile since this thread has been active . I'm wondering if anyone has long term opinions on Kate's eye cream? |

Since I last posted about kate somerville, I have used the eye cream. My verdict? overpriced and not magical. I prefer the phytomer eye cream and still love la prairie - although the la prairie is very pricey - used the caviar eye gel, lasted 6 months. Currently using phytomer, happy. Would NOT buy the kate somerville again. |

I tried a whole bottle of this stuff and didn't notice a difference accept that my eye area was moisturized. I am 27 and have very small fine lines under my eyes. I was hoping it would help with those. How long was everyone else using it before they noticed a difference? I'm wondering if it takes more than 1 bottle to see a difference. |
