Hi
I have been on EDS for a few years, mostly read, almost never post. Have picked up gr8 info here over the last year or so. Thank you. Tried many things, hated dermaroll (way too painful) and etc etc,. I want either Trua Trend or STOP and everything tells me TT or TV is better or more favored etc. I know TV has been around for every...and STOP is newer, but I really am interested in both. I have nerve damage in half/part of my body so TT or TV may not be ideal. I may try it on face. I am very thin, have some marionette lines, wrinkles, but not bad for my age. (47). I want to plump skin, lift eyes (I hate my droopy lips) and work on marionette and filling it out. I dont really need to slim face/but tighten it! I have very VERY loose skin on legs inspite of gr8 diet and working out 20 plus years. I have connective tissue disorder so skin is VERY stretchy and elastic.
BTW -I have read through a lot of threads already on STOP/TUA etc. I just cant seem to come up with decision thats best for me..most bang for buck/face and body. I am pale, dry skin..but no skin issues, pretty lucky in that respect.
So given all this, would anyone recommend the STOP over Tua Trend or what are your thoughts? I dont see a lot of good reviews abt STOP and cant afford much of anything. I have used copper peptides, retin A and lightstim. Not sure what any of it is doing...Ho hum. I really want to tighten loose skin. I prefer altering/building collagen to just muscle work, if that makes sense.
Thanks for letting me ramble.
Anyone using Galvanic or Slendertone that thinks these would be better for me? I know Tua had loyal followers...and it seems like an option, but not sure with my nerve issues.

I have both the tua viso and the stop. I like both but would choose the stop for skin tightening. I have very little time to post right now but will try to send you a message later that might address your nerve issue and a microcurrent machine. Look in you message box later night and I will try to send you something.
By the way....Welcome ![wave](images/smiles/039.gif) |

I have the Tua Trend, and the Stop, and the Baby Q and... well you get the idea
I like the Tua, I like the idea of my face muscles getting exercised.
I like the STOP, but can't say I've seen anything in terms of lifting. I don't know why I like it, though, I just do and live in hope that it's creating some future benefit.
At the moment I'm using the Tua on my face, and my latest gadget the SQOOM on my face, neck, chest and an old injury.
The SQOOM is a combination of ultrasound and ionisation (pushes the actives into the skin, yay no more dermarolling!). If you look on the Skin Dream Titanium thread, you'll see my initial thoughts on this new gadget, but to summarise quickly - not much happening on my face except for a really nice glow, but that's to be expected as my face is VERY well cared for, and the instruction say 2 weeks for a visible difference to wrinkles/lift.
I have seen a visible difference on my chest, though - but that's probably just because that area is very neglected and any TLC is likely to show results.
The gadget did heal my husbands shin splint which had been dragging on for 2 weeks.
After 4 days use, this is now my favourite gadget.
Oh, and because I believe age makes a difference regarding results - I've just turned 48! |

This morning I woke up, amazed at the smoothing out of my chest.
At this point, I would definately recommend SQOOM over STOP.
SQOOM is pricy, but if you have the time, research the name FYOLA. I was looking for something info on ultrasound after I purchased my SQOOM, and stumbled across it. It looks identical in every way to the SQOOM and is less than half price.
I did email the German company marketing the SQOOM asking if it was the same product, and I'm thinking the lack of reply is a 'yes'. If so, I'm a bit annoyed at the price, and I will be following this up - charging us nearly 3 times the amount because we live in Europe is outrageous. |

hotdocgirl, are you using a screen reader?
I'm not sure if this will work, but here goes:
S.Q.O.O.M.
Yes, it's a bizarre name, pronounced skew with an m on the end.
Here is the URL:

If you have time, though, I'd advise you to research FYOLA, that's F.Y.O.L.A. as it seems to be the same device at about a third of the price. |

Is the SQOOM very different from a regular ultrasound unit? It does look a lot more sophisticated. I have a 2MHz Bellaire ultrasound unit which can also be used for product penetration. It was so boring to use, I gave up on it quickly. |

hotdocgirl, please see the Skindream Titanium thread for my progress. I added to that thread as the SQOOM is a simlar, but newer, device.
In short, I have been using it for 7 days as of today, and the results I have seen surpass that of any other gadget I own/have owned, for example
* the Safetox (sold on ebay),
* the POSE (sold on ebay),
* the STOP (I still have this, but I will sell now),
* the CLEO face unit (gave to my sister),
* the Baby Q (will sell now).
* the dermaroller (ouch, glad this replaces it)
Given the amazing results in just 1 week, I think all I will keep is my Tua T'rend and the SQOOM. Oh, and my Clarisonic, which I prefer to the ultrasound cleaning program.
Tonight, my husband who doesn't pay much attention to these things, said his very honest opinion is that the device has knocked 2yrs off my face this week (he was away during the week) - he says the best words to describe me is 'fresh and vibrant', and that he thinks this device is a 'miracle' - the second time he's used that word for this device. Personally, I don't see much in my face, but there is undoubtly a vast improvement in my chest area.
His leg is still healed (see the Skindream thread) - I tested it this morning by pushing firmly against his shin tendon and the squeaking is completely gone.
I had another browse this morning against FYOLA, and I am convinced this is the same device, especially since they offer distributors the opportunity to reband the device, and on the SQOOM website, it states that Shick (the Germany company selling this in Europe) have exclusive European distribution rights. You will need to do your own research in this area, but at this point I'm certain they are the same machine, and the photos and usage instructions are identical (except Shick gives you medical instructions too, such as using the device for sports injuries - and those pdfs can be downloaded for free from the SQOOM website).

packratmack, this is ultrasound combined with ionisation for product penetration. The device has several different settings:
Programs:
* Cleansing
* Massage
* Nutrition
* Lifting
* Whitening
* Wrinkles
You can select if you want just ultrasound, just ionisation, or both.
You can select your level of ultrasound (low, medium or high)
The stats are as follows:
Ultrasound
Frequency 1 MHz to 1.8 MHz
Intensity levels from 0.1 W/cm bis 0.5 W/cm
Ionisation 1 Hz/150 µsec pulse range |

Karenlee--
Thanks for the great rundown and advice. I think the results you are seeing on your chest are very telling. Since you most likely take great care of your face (by the long list of gadgets you've already used lol) the skin there is most likely benefiting..but not as noticiable since your face is in such good shape.
I think I'm sold and will buy the cheaper version that you've found online. |

Hi karenlee, thanks for the reply. I like your merciless attitude towards gadgets. If it doesn't work, then out it goes. I would feel uncomfortable getting rid of any of mine. Please let us know if you get any improvements in wrinkles or lift. |

Hi - I have now completely eliminated my chest wrinkles - see the Skindream thread for my update. I think I should probably start a SQOOM thread! |
