Hey all,
I am very upset!
I have had a cold all weekend, hacking and coughing a lot.
Anyway, just woke up and have a bunch of tiny red spots in my under eye area.
Before this my under eye area was "perfect", no wrinkles (still none),no discoloration-my mail issue was eye puffiness in the morning mostly and I use eye gel for that.
Now I have a bunch of tiny pinpoint like red spots-without makeup it is obvious.
What is the best treatment or way of getting this to go away?
I'm hoping that it will go away by iteself?
But unsure about that.
Would a vitamin K eye product be good.
As well as maybe tea bags on the eyes and some ice maybe?
Any tips would be appreciated and helpful! |

(((hugs)))
That is effectively a bruise: just keep eating a balanced diet and it should heal by themselves. Aloe vera, hyaluronic acid and calendula with allantoin have proven wound healing properties. Do you come into contact with many people with respiratory infections or was this just an unlucky one off? |

Its very likely just temporary and will heal on its own, don't worry. Hope you are feeling better. |

How interesting. My daughter complained to me few days ago that she woke up with tiny red spots in under eye area. We couldn't figure out where did it come from :food or topical.
Don't worry though. It was gone by the middle of the same day. |

They are usually from pressure (coughing violently, etc. I get them when I vomit.). Probably nothing to worry about. Give it a few days for them to disappear. |

Maybe?
the buses here are so overcrowded- who knows what all those strangers have?
Also, did have a few doctor's apts that were in a hospital building...so quite exposed to tons of "germs" and ill people....
I am trying to eat well most of the time and usually do not eat foods with preservatives- or try not to anyways.
I prob should eat less cookies though
My skin is looking a little better today- still not great, but not as bad as on Sunday.
I am using Neostrata firming eye cream and PSF hyaluronic? serum.
Still not feeling that great yet...doubt I will go to my 2 hour ballet class today ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

IIRC it is usually less than 48 hours from catching the virus to symptoms. Definitely cut the cookies; did you know sugar and refined/ white carbs suppress the immune system? Plus they feed unfriendly bacteria in the gut which protect us from GI infections. I used to get one cold every winter until I started eating clean: cannot now remember when I last had a respiratory infection but maybe seven years? I travel on public transport (not crowded tho) and over that time have worked with the public both in hospitals and the community.
The rule of thumb is you can safely exercise if your symptoms are neck or above. Gentle exercise actually stimulates the lymphatic system boosting immune function. Not advisable to train for more than one hour because after this stress hormones are produced which suppress the immune system.
Hope you feel better soon tho! ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

It is called petechia. You can get it from coughing hard, vomiting, pushing hard during labor and if CSI (the tv show) has good info - by being strangled.
I get it when I am super super sick and coughing like crazy. It goes away in a few days. |

Thanks for the info!
I wasn't entirely sure about that.
My skin is looking better though- I was coughing and also vomiting tons (yuck).
At least I can eat now- not going to try eating anything really heavy though- just nuts, granola bars, cereal. |

Thanks for the definition of this. I have one under my eye from child labor. Never went away though.
Ive had it lasered, but it still comes back. I'm open to other suggestions on how to get rid of it if anyone has some. |
