I have experienced an unusual year in 2011, one that kept me from my usual skin routines...that said, I have not kept up with the most recent news in laser treatments for anti-aging.
Any suggestions/recommendations/recent experiences to share/links to data?
Thanks!! BF |

I would love to have a laser treatment done but it's a subject I seem to be lost in even with reading. Perhaps it's because it seems there are so many out there with different names.
I've also read so many horror stories about those who ruined their faces with laser treatments.
Not sure I would be brave enough to do a full face treatment but I would be happy just getting rid of my 3 broken cap areas. They look like permanent zits
I would definitely like to hear anything new on laser treatments too! So speak up ladies ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

I also find the array of different laser treatments very confusing - it's actually a hard subject to research adequately because the information is usually written by the clinics who are providing the treatment. What's really needed is an independent review and comparison of what's available - but I can't find any one website that does this.
I've had numerous IPLs in the past and a couple of years ago I had a Pearl Laser. I've never had a problem with anything. I also can't believe the amount of horror stories there are out there. I tend to think that many people who have these treatments are totally uninformed about what to expect. They seem to believe that they will walk out of the clinic looking like Jenifer Lopez with absolutely no down-time. This is probably the fault of clinics advertising lunch-time treatments. With a "good" laser treatment, you should be out of action for at least a few days. I also think that many people have totally unrealistic expectations. It might take a number of treatments to get the results that you want - not just one.
But I would never have a laser treatment done by anyone other than a doctor or registered nurse. |

I'm a laser horror story - and my very botched treatment was done by a registered nurse at a clinic owned by a plastic surgeon. So even medical people arent always the best ![Crying or Very sad](images/smiles/cry.gif) |

I head a lot of horror stories about laser treatment. I think best way is to research first and see if the laser treatment is right for you.
