| Hello! My esthetician used Knutken MD microdermabrasion from a jar and my skin looked great but was swollen and painful for the last 4 days, I am wondering if this is normal, or if this means the scrub was too traumatic for my skin, and if the swelling will do permanent damage, like change the elasticity of the skin, etc. Thank you so much!! Your answers are very much appreciated! |

| You may be allergic to the product, it would be worth getting your esthetician or a pharmacist to have a look at your skin. |

I am an Esthetician, with years of Medical Esthetic experience working for a Derm. This is NOT normal to be swollen and having pain after four days, let alone at all by using a mechanical scrub from a jar unless she attempted to rub your face off (literally).
I'd call her and let her know, get the ingredient list from the product and go see your Dr. |

| This doesn't sound right, it shouldn't be painful! Your skin can be red for maybe 1-2 hours, but not 4 days! |
