I read about these foot patches that are supposed to help detox you. Guess what I had to try some ( http://www.detoxi-pad.com/ plenty of other websites )
Not sure how I tell I've detoxed apart from the fact that the pads will not discolour or stink as much.
Has anyone tried these or think they could work? |

Interesting... haven't seen anything like this before!
How many have you used Eve? Is there a significant difference between the discoloration you got on them before and what you get now? Also, do you use it overnight or during the day?
I eat a lot of junk so I'm sure there's PLENTY to detox from me! This is tempting... |

well I've only used it last night and it's funny but the area felt really warm not long after I put in on.
Anyway this morning I took them off and they were all gooey and funky :-& Funnily enough I get eczema on one foot and that was worst - so maybe their is something to it . So we'll see how it goes the rest of the week and report back
btw - the link wasn't to where I got mine, it was just to show the kind of patches they are. |

sorry Mabsy just spotted your other question!
You wear them overnight between 7-12 hours - which also means I get more sleep you can wander round with them on, you're not bed ridden. |

why not just do a 12 day food cleanse?
Way healthier and no chemicals. The one I am looking at is 12 days of unlimited water, veggies, fruit, and fish. There were a couple fruits/veggies to avoid like bananas and carrots.
I need to cleanse all the chocolate out of my body |

Because we're lazy!
I hope those fruit and veggies are organic and the fish isn't contaminated. only joking but to eat food that doesn't have some chemical in it is hard. |

I'm going to get some and try it Will report back
Lianne - I actually have a semi-reasonable excuse. My body seems to burn a lot of energy (for some reason yet unknown though not for lack of testing ) and as a result I'm significantly underweight no matter how much I stuff my face. I've found that I pretty much have to eat a lot of high cal and fatty foods because if I don't then I can't sustain the weight that I have now let alone gain some. I'd be a bit worried that if I went with water and vegies I'd lose a few kgs (which my body can do in a matter of a week) and it would take me months to put it back on. Even my Dr now tells me to eat whatever I can
So, with all that stuff I eat I'm sure my body would thank me for detox and the patches are as good as it's gonna get! |

Mabsy,
I hope this doesn't sound like I'm not concerned for you. I really am! But with that said, do you realize how many of us would prefer to have your weight problem?

Mabsy,
When I was your age I had the same problem with not being able to gain weight. Guess my system has changed. Right now I have 6 lbs to get off so my cloths fit better. I would be delighted to give them to you.

That's what most people say - including my Dr. She told me that it will catch up with me though. Apparently having kids and/or getting older tends to do that to one's metabolism.
Cheri - yeah, I get told that all the time. Then I simply tell people about my related health problems and it makes them much happier to be their weight |

Eve - how are you going with the patches? Is there a difference in how they look after a few days of use?
I've got some now and have been using them for about 5 days but I'm getting pretty much the same thing every morning. They're pretty cool to use though! At least I don't get cold feet at night
The only thing is that since I'm getting the same thing every morning I'm wondering if what you get is maybe brought on by a reaction between what's in the patch and sweat? If I saw that it was changing then I wouldn't be as sceptical but at this stage I don't know if the funky stuff perhaps comes out of the patch... Just a thought.
I do have to say though that the first few times I used them I woke up really early in the morning (*way* before my alarm was set to go off!) and perfectly rested. Perhaps it was a coincidence, not too sure. |

well parts of the patch seemed less funky. It is likely that they react with sweat - which after all is our way of cooling and is a method of excreting toxins.
You're right about the warm feet, that feels great. I did feel more rested though
Don't know if they 'work' but I like 'em |

Well, there must be something to them because I am feeling more energetic in the mornings. I've actually gone and bought five different types of these in order to figure out which ones are the best. Not too sure how I'm going to do that |

I do think there is something to the theory of detox through the soles of the feet.
My husband and I go to a Naturopath and do a detox foot bath. I don't understand all the mechanics of it, but he puts some type of ionizer pump in the water and you actually see the water begin to turn yellow, then orange, then brown to brownish green. The treatment takes about 20 minutes. The Dr. pointed out the "scum" that floats on the top and told me what that indicates, but now I can't remember. It was last year when we did a series of treatments.
We did notice that when we were doing them regularly that the water looked less and less "pukey". However, since we all ingest many toxin forming substances each day, you never totally detox really. It's a preventive method that has to be kept up.
I remember when we watched the video that explained how it works and why the soles of the feet, it all made perfect sense to us.

The detox bath sounds gross, but interesting. I'd like to try it someday! |

It looks really gross. You keep thinking, "How can all that gunk have come out of me?" Naturally, we lead a pretty healthy life, so I can only imagine what comes out of people who don't. The Doctor says that some people's "gunk" actually has an offensive odor.
I don't think it's done widely around the U.S. This Doctor is pretty forward thinking and out there on the edge.

Well, thankfully, I'm not one of those people and my gunk doesn't smell at all.
You've heard of those people who think their "gunk" doesn't smell, haven't you?
No, seriously, unless you comsume a lot of alcohol or smoke a lot, the toxins that come from your feet in the footbath don't really have an odor.
