I've been using Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer for about a month now, and am happy to report that it is the BEST concealer I've ever tried! It comes in a compact with two colors (a lighter and a darker shade) so it can be custom-blended each time you use it (I use the SC2 palette -- I'm not sure how many different ones there are). I load up a brush with a bit of each color, blend/warm it on the back of my hand, and lightly apply it to all "imperfections." Then I tap it with a finger to blend. It's amazing stuff! Sticks well, blends in, covers beautifully and stays ALL DAY without fading, changing color or slipping off. I'm thrilled.
NOTE- L.M. makes a different formula concealer for under eyes. It comes in a little pot and is more moisturizing than the palette kind. I use this, too, and have found the results to be just as wonderful as the palette one gives.

Ooh! I have the little pot one and it's the only thing that covers my undereye circles. I also warm it up a bit on the back of my hand then apply lightly with their concealer brush, a little is all I need. And it looks so natural! Even when my bf gets close up he can't tell that it's there. I don't have to worry about it getting cakey or settling into the lines. I tried switching to a similar Prescriptives concealer (2 palettes in a compact + powder) but it sucked.
The pot concealer should only be used under the eyes though, as the oils will exacerbate pimples and pores. |

If you like the camouflage, give the Laura Mercier Secret Brightener a try over it -- it's FAN-TAS-TIC! THE best highlighter/light reflector EVER! |

Better than YSL Touche Eclat?
ETA: Have you guys tried Jane Iredale Circle Delete concealer? Sounds very similar to the LM and it's my fave for covering dark circles or visible veins. |

Hmmmmm.....well...that's a good question Mabsy!! I think I'd have to say yes - but only because of the LM Secret Brightener powder that I use with it...It's marvelous around the eye area (so, so fine!) and really helps to brighten the area even more - without sitting in fine lines or making the skin look "powdered". I just love it -- but you know what? I'd be equally happy to have the YSL TE -- but I'd have to have the LM Secret Brightener Powder along with it!

Mabsy, what's the texture like? It's available online at EDS, right? If it can hide veins (I am very fair and have a very obvious big one near my eye) without looking like "Dermablend" that would be great!!! |

Ok, YSL stays and awaits the arrival of the LM powder
Yeah, I got my JI Cirle Delete on EDS *ages* ago. The texture it very creamy and soft. It's easy to blend. I've got it in #2 and I use the natural looking shade for dark circles and the pinkish one (sometimes with the other one) for the vein I have around the eye area. I use the tip of the LM Secret Camouflage brush to feather strokes of it on the vein and then just pat it in. |

Pudoodles,
The Secret Brightener is a POWDER?????? Ack! I just purchased "Secret Brightener" and it's a creamy product in a wand/tube thingy.
Did I buy the wrong thing? |

I bought both of the Laura Mercier Secret Brighteners last week and really like both of them. The big plus for me is that neither of them accentuate those pesky fine lines that women around my age (44) get.
Once I saw the shimmering cream the Secret Brightener Pen dispenses (they need to work on their dispenser) I realized it looked similar to a tube of City Block Sheer Shimmer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 15 that I had in my vanity. I have the Clinique in the color Gold (It comes in bronze too). Gold is just a tad darker than LM. I just never thought to use it as an under eye brightener before. It's really economical too at $15.50 for a 1.4 ounce tube. I've been using it the last couple of days with the LM secret brightening powder and am actually liking it more. I was afraid that the SPF would bother my eyes, but it didn't at all plus you can use it with a non-spf eye cream and still have protection.
So Padoodles you might want to go to a Clinique counter and see if you like it.

Really?? WOW! Oh my gosh that would be amazing (at that price!!) This is the kind of info I just love! And I agree wholeheartedly, the LM dispenser is LOUSY - I wish they'd just provide it in a little squeeze-out tube..Anyway -thanks a million, Cheri - I will definitely give the Clinique stuff a shot and report back!! |

Julie, I also love Laura Mercier secret camouflage. It is really amaizing how it stays put all day long. I recently purchased JI disappear because I liked the all natural approach plus it also has blemish control botanicals in it. I like JI disappear but I still think that for long days LM is better. |

Mabsy I used to use the YSL Touche Eclat, because it was the only concealer I could find that didn't cake into the lines under my eyes. Plus it wasn't as dry when I used it so I wasn't pulling at the skin around my eyes. The only thing that I didn't like was that it often didn't have much staying powder and my undereye circles would reappear.
Then I came across the Kanabo beaute concealer. It is the same, brush type, as YSL, and works much better than the YSL. It is really a great product. It blends nicely under my eyes just as the YSL did, but I get a better color match and it has enormous staying powder. I can even take a nap and it will still be on and working when I get up from the nap. |

Ohhhhh!!!! I LOVE LM Secret Concealer!!! (the under eye concealer) It is increadable! I don't have a particularly dry under eye area, but I always had problems with regular concealer creasing and looking very dry. With this concealer, I don't have that problem anymore. In fact, a lot of times on the weekends I wear only this concealer and it is moist enough that you can't tell I have anything on.

The Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and Secret Camoflauge just got rave reviews in one of the fashion magazines I was reading (March issue of Glamour or Lucky magazines). They were showing the new combo travel compact which incorporates both the Secret Concealer (for blemishes) and the Secret Camoflouge (for undereye circles) called Undercover. I am using the the Undercover in color #1. Great product! |
