Hello all!
Do you have any recomendations for a face wash for dry skin?

I know I always recommend this, but what about trying Babor's 2-step cleansing oils? My sister has really dry skin and really love the combination of hy-öl and phytoactive base. I know that not everybody likes cleansing oils, so you should ask for a sample with your next EDS order.
By the way, the Decleor cleansing oil is also nice... as long as you don't try the Babor first |

I too have dry skin. I found Viview Anti wrinkle foaming cleanser good. It smells fine, does a good job of making your skin fresh and clean, and there is no tight feeling.
Cheers

Agree with Aurora - cleansing oils are a good option and they are nice to use and also very effective at taking off makeup. I've tried both the Decleor and Babor and while both were really good I *do* prefer the Babor.
I would also suggest cleansing milks - Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk specifically because I love the smell |

Prior to me selling Epiderm and loving the oatmeal bar! I used Avon cold cream cleanser. Not much doesn't leave me tight/taunt but these 2 are great! At night with makeup I use Jojoba oil! great especially for eye makeup removal. |

I hear a lot about OILs of different kinds as cleansers. Do they remove all the gunk from the pores without clogging them?

Yes, oils will remove all gunk from your skin without clogging your pores! But I wouldn't recommend that you use any kind of oil, but use a specially designed cleansing oil. a good cleansing oil should be hydrophilic, which means it dissolves in water and will leave no residue or oily film on your skin. |

hi,
I love Jojoba for cleansing! because it is close to the skins sebrum it is actually good for the skin! It doesn't matter if there is residue on skin as it will sink in.(if I was to apply makeup again after it I use my Oatmeal after and it helps residue to re-applying makeup) It actually helps me with breakouts as it unclogs my pores, but it does not work for everyone. I had done a review on it once, a wonderful multi-purpose oil (actually a wax but won't clog pores) that is inexpensive. Vitaminshoppe.com carries Desert Essence which I use. |

My current guilty pleasure is Cellcosmet's Cleansing Gel. I love it, but can't hardly bare to purchase it. I have been trying to find something comprable, but with no luck. It is awesome for dry sensative skin. And it take off all of your makeup with no trouble.
Another cleanser that I like is Biomedic's Purifying Gel. It has 1 percent AHA that help to slough off dry, dead skin as you clean.

I'm looking forward to trying that one. I'm pretty sure I have a sample. It's funny how just reading a post can make you run to the bathroom to dig out a sample! |

Don't do it, Mabsy!! Then you'll be like me...looking into your bottle to see how much you have left and dreading when you have to repurchase. With what I have spent trying to find something that I like as much, I could have just bought another bottle of Cellcosmet.

You know, it is really hard to explain why I love it. I think that it is just because it does exactly what it says it is going to do. It doesn't have any scent...if anything, it has a faint ozoney (my made up word) water smell. All you need is one squirt the size of a dime. It feels real nice on your face and it takes off all of your makeup, even eye makeup, doesn't sting your eyes and when you are done, your face doesn't feel stripped or tight.
Let me know what you think.

C.B. - I just realised that the sample that I have is of the "Rich Makeup Remover Cream for Face and Eyes" (aka "Gentle Cream Cleanser) and not the cleansing gel. Nevertheless I tried it last night after I logged off and OMG! - it's fabulous! I'll review it later today and probably do a little "present from me to me thing" shortly |
