Help !!! I put a thick layer of the Dr Hauschka firming mask on intended to just relax for 15 minutes or so. Ack...it's been such a long week; I feel asleep. When I first washed the mask off, it seemed as if no harm was done, but now I feel like I have a sunburn (no...it doesn't look like I do) and the skin around my idea is very dry and crepey, which it never ever is (I have oily skin).
I've stopped using my usual treatment products, because I don't want to do anything to irritate the problem and have been slathering on moisturizer. It seems a tad better today. I'm not sure what else to do. I'm soooo upset about this!! My skin has been looking so good lately and this is a real set back. I'm not used to the skin around my eyes looking so wrinkly. Help !!!! |

Katee,
I have used the Dr. H's firming mask and actually left it on as a night treatment once. Although it is not the mask for me I had no irritation at all. There must be something in it that does not agree with your skin. Your face will get back to normal "don't fear." For now I would not put anything on your face but a pure product ie: Emu, Camillia, HA Acid Serum. Within a few days you should be fine. Reactions to products are lousy!!! |

Ahh Winnie thank you for the reassuring words. Rationally, I know my skin will calm down after a day or two, but that doesn't mitigate the hysteria!! Laughing...
I took your advice a few moments ago and used some emu oil around my eyes and, you were right, my skin both looks and feels a little better.
I've used the firming mask before without any problem. Either the length of time I had it on, or the combination of it with some other product must have set off the reaction. I recent had a glycolic acid peel and I suspect my skin is more sensitive as a result. Will teach me to be more thoughtful though.... |
