You can get enough Vit. D by being in the sun if enough skin without sunscreen is exposed.
It doesn't even take that long....somewhere around 10-20 min. I think. |

The problem is most people either don't take the time to do as you said, or they bake out in the sun all the time! I do take a D3 supplement along with Calcium and Magnesium. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

This thread might be helpful, too:

And how much time you need to spend out in the sun depends on your skin color, time of year, time of day, and latitude. It can range anywhere from 2 minutes - 90 minutes, so there's no one size fits all. Dr. Holick has sun tables in his book "The UV Advantage" that describe how much time you need to spend in the sun based on those factors. HTH ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

Cod liver oil is the more key supplement, also a source of vit A & D. There's no telling what the vit D3 is made from and is probably not absorbable; even if it is, don't have time to flush $ down the drain. |

I take the same DM but in the summer when I spend time outdoors in shorts & T-shirt I skip the Vit.D. |

LOL. I sometimes feel like a vampire being in Florida, I really despise the heat and the sun is so strong.
I am sure I avoid exposure more than I should so that is why I supplement year round! ![Shock](images/smiles/shock.gif) |
