I am exactly the same! I am also trying the nose shortner because I love the results but also agree they are only temp and I don't really believe they will have a long term result on my hook nose.

When I do it, it makes my hook nose straight and get rid of the beaky look and just makes it look all cute and buttony! I get the nice straight profile I have always wanted but it only last for 5 mins. I am determined to do it for 4 months as that when you're supposed to start seeing results BUT I do believe I will need to do it way more that just 75x a day...perhaps double.

While I don't know much about nose exercises or how effective they are--partly because I have never really been bothered by my nose one way or another--I do know that face exercise results don't come overnight. The "temporary results" you see after doing the exercise do become permananent over time.

I know this from the change in my own eyes. I went from having hooded eyes to having no hint of that...but it took years. I didn't even see it happening. Didn't even remember I had hooded eyes. I wasn't trying to change my eyes because they never bothered me nor did I know hooded eyes was something people didn't like. I was just doing face exercise to keep my face toned but over time, my eyes were changed.

The upper eyelid exercise I think was instrumental in this always made my eyes look pretty immediately after I did it. You could say the results were temporary. But that was only at the beginning. Over time, they became permanent.

So perhaps you guys just need to commit to doing the exercises whether or not you see results in a year or not. Maybe in a few years, there'll be a slight difference--which IMO is better than just fretting over it.

BTW, I didn't know until just a few years how much bulbous noses bother people. I always thought having large nostrils was what constituted a big nose; never thought much about the bulb. And even now I usually don't see what the problem is when people complain about their noses. I usually find that the nose fits in with other features of the person's face. But that's just me. I know what's most important is that the owner of the nose is happy. Hope you can come to see some good qualities in it while you slowly transform it with exercise.

well, one way to get rid of the hooked nose or bumpy nose is radiase ( may b the spellings are incorrect). It's a temporary filler, lasts for few months.. I don't think it could correct large nostrils though

thank you so much for posting ur experience :) i will not give up at all.. i used to loose hope..but after reading ur post... i wont.. i will go on and on ... :)

and concerning bulbous noses ...yes they do bother us :( for sorry my face is so thin and my nose is tall and wide and awuful ... I HATE IT .. but hope it'll transform to a thinner shorter nose by excercises .. i will never give up...

i have read before that old wives used to pinch babies noses every day and used to learn them doit theirselves as a habit everday .. to get it slim.. and by time it gets slimmer and perfect..but it needs patience.. i dont is it correct or not...but it matches with what u've just said... patience and consistency are the key :)

just be careful as exercises will make the muscle bigger and that may result in even more bulbous nose! Good luck!

If you really can do it 1000x a day then I say go for it! It can only speed up results. But you should email Carole Maggio and ask her what she suggests. Last time I emailed her she replied back to me in a day!

hi Daler :)

i read before that the nose consists of the upper nasal bone and the rest are made up of cartilage which is 75-80 % water..which makes its maleable ... that's why i still have hope..that over time ... it'll get a bit slimmer and shorter nose ...

thank you for ur kind advice :)so sweet of u :)

well not really yasmeen, bridge of the nose is made up of cartilage & bones but nostrils are made up of muscles (lower part) and cartilage ( upper/top part), that's why you can move/expand them... anyways please keep us updated and good luck!

I've been doing the nose shortener for years and I also use the nose magic to prevent my nose from growing more bulbous. I saw small differences but important differences with both, but I might not have noticed it if I hadn't taken photos, so I highly recommend that. More importantly, for me, they *seem* to prevent my nose from growing more with age, like it did with my sister (except she opted for a nose job in her twenties, rather than trying something more natural). My experience is that they can only slightly improve things, not completely transform your nose....but perhaps that will be enough.

Sorry but all these posts make me laugh. You cannot reduce the size of your nose unless you have surgery. You hate your bulbous nose than talk to a plastic surgeon otherwise quit wasting our time.

thank you cm5597 for posting ur experience :) me too my dear... my nose has improved slightly after using nose magic ..a bit straighter ... only...

i read that most of nose magic users have got magical results which encourged me to buy it and waited for its arrival desperatley... but i didnt get the same obvious results :( dont know why... i went to their site and asked the guy there responsible for answering our inquries ..and he told me i should take a warm bath for 15 mins before putting it on... and not to put it more than 15-30 mins twice daily ..

was u following these instructions too ? would u please tell me how was u using nose magic ?

Me too i want it to get a bit shorter and a bit slimmer ... it'll be more than enough :)

teewoods i am so sorry for getting you annoyed ... but i am reading and reading about getting ur face and features more toned and much firmer ... which gave me hope its possible to improve the shape of ur nose...

yes, its true ..nose huggies gets the nose more straighter...

as for nose shortener.. i've just started few days ago... and i can see that carol maggio's nose tip has became shorter over years.. you can have a look on her before and after pictures..
i know she has been excercising her face and nose for such a long time...

I would be so glad to have the same result she had...but may be I am impatient..

wanted to talk about it with others ... really didnt mean to annoy anyone...

hello yasmeen, please don't worry, you did not discuss anything to annoy anyone, teawoods must not be a very happy person in general or at least at the time s/he read your post!

This forum is meant to discuss anything beauty related and get other's opinions and experiences without being judged ( at least,so harshly)....

If this topic does not interest someone, s/he can simply ignore it, no one is forcing anyone to read it!!!

Also, yasmeen, please don't pay much attention to the "online reviews" on a company's website, most of them are fake anyways...

I think you cant reduce a nose size without the help of the surgery......so I will suggest you to stop wasting money on such things.

I am trying to save you the bother. It is scientifically impossible to shorten the nose or bulbous without surgery. Look why don't we deal with facts and not online bogus scams from hacks who make up stuff designed to scam money of vulnerable people. Show me a medical paper that shows one can reduce ones bone or cartilage without surgery.

I see these scams all the time on the internet.

Grow taller
Make your bow legs straighter
Reduce your jaw size
Straighten your teeth

All lies and scams!

Good luck wasting your time. I guess if you keep doing this stuff for your nose and looking at it everyday your mind would convince you it has got smaller, I guess thats the remedy. But if you actually want a smaller tip speak to a surgeon. There are a few good ones who can solve this for you once and for all and save you years of wasting your time and effort.

Oh and I wondered why you said I was annoyed as I was not. Then I looked at my first post and I saw I typed stop wasting OUR time. What I meant was stop wasting YOUR time. Hope that clears things up. I hate to see people waste their time in hope of something that is never going to materisalise.

I must check out what "nose magic" is about.
Anyhow, if you can't afford surgical help, there are two of the Tanaka massage strokes that target nose area to make it slimmer, and it is basically eliminating water retention from the area. Maybe you could check that massage out and see if it could help in combination with the Carole Maggio's ex.
But if it is actually bone structure I doubt either will help much.

hello teewoods :)

you are true , im conviced with what u've said , nothing can naturally change the cartilage size , but i just hope to improve its shape slightly

iam not able to put the link of a video ..of a girl who was grabbing her nose up using both of her palms .. she is an Asian and her nose was not simillar to asian's noses..she claimed she was used to do so which has improved the shape of her nose alot ...

these experiences gives me hope still ... may be u r right.. it is just a waste of time and may be it needs a very long time to notice a very slight change ...

Any ways :) thanks for the advice teewoods:)

Happy New Year :)
