I've actually done board searches & was reading up on this. I use a BB Cream that contains Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide. I've been also using the new La Roche Posay anti-aging primer with SPF 50. I realized though that La Roche Posay has Avobenzone in it, so it made me wonder if this entire time my sunscreens been "deactivated" by my BB Cream. I've tried contacting the makeup company but they're not getting back to me (it's been weeks) so I have no idea if the BB Cream's Zinc is coated or not. Has anyone else been having this type of problem with their sunscreens? |

If you look at the ingredients list and see Z-cote or triethoxycaprylylsilane (and there is another silane that they use too, but I can't find it right now), then it's coated and won't deactivate the Avobenzone. Which BB cream do you use, exactly? |

Welcome! A lot of people on this forum prefer to use rely on a physical sunscreen rather than the many issues inherent to chemical sunscreen agents. |
