| It's my understanding that it adds a more matte finish. I have used it both with and without and did not notice a difference in how long my foundation lasted. |

| I can't remember if there was any difference in terms of how long the foundation stayed on for. For me it was mainly to get a more matte look as the Bare Minerals tend to be a bit on the "pearly" side. |

| I am using Jane Iredale but seems the loose powder doesn't stay on all day, my face starts to get shiny in the afternoon, & looks melted, we don't have very dry weather here so I want to buy someting to put on top makes the makeup lasts longer. I think pressed powder works better. |
