Is anyone still doing this I read an old thread about it and sounds interesting if it really does remove toxins and whitens teeth.
I have bought dr whites teeth whitening kit but haven't tried it yet, has anyone else used this? claims it the NO 1 seller. |

Well the oil pulling is supposed to whiten teeth or it just clean them really well but thats just one of the supposed benefits it's meant to remove toxins from your blood stream and cleanse your system.
People have been doing it for hundreds of years so I assume there must be something to it or why would they do it I think it originates from india.
I bought some sunflower oil but haven't tried it yet |

Basically you take a table spoonful of either sunflower or vegtable oil but some people use coconut oil then you swill it around in your mouth for 20 minutes or so then spit out and brush teeth as normal.
Oil pulling is meant to be done first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything there's an old thread about it somewhere on here not sure if anyone is still doing it but thought it might be worth a try sunflower/veg oil is so cheap. |

Well it definitely sounds like it's worth a shot and it quite cheap, I'll try it, thanks for the information. |

Dr. Georges Dental White is by far the best tooth whitening gel you can buy. He provides a very generous amount of gel at a very reasonable price, and the customer service is outstanding. I've been using it for years. |

One thing you have to watch for when using this gel is that it's very strong, and can cause sensitivity in your teeth & gums. If you've not used whiteners on a regular basis start slow, use just a little product until you build a tolerance. In time the sensitivity will go away. You can also add it to your toothbrush for a quick pick-up in whitening.
Also, I find it comfortable to leave the gel in for a long time because I went to a dentist and had custom trays made, that are fitted to my teeth. I think the trays that come with the gel are rather cumbersome.
I am in no way affiliated with Dr. Georges, simply a satisfied user. |

You can read more about it here: http://oilpulling.com/
There isn't much to it but it is interesting. If you have any metal fillings oil pulling isn't recommend because it can loosen the filling. |

With the trays from the kit you have to heat them with hot water then mould the plastic round your teeth taking care that it doesn't all stick together I've had the kit for a few weeks now but haven't done it yet.
I have never used whitening products that are this strong only a whitening toothpaste called pearl drops which ain't that good so hopefully I will get results with this. |

I too would like to know if anyone has done oil pulling for a while and what results, if any, they had? I've looked it up just now and there are other forums with info but I trust the members here more. |

It looks like they do ship to Australia, $24.95 postage though!
I have composite veeners and they can't be bleached, but I am wondering if you could you the gel just mixed with your toothpaste? I hate trays anyway. |

I tried oil pulling a few times with a few different varieties, it did nothing for me. It was nasty feeling and tasting and I didn't notice any benefits as far as whitening, cleanliness. I've never had a cavity before so I think I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. |

I cannot see how or in any way this process would whiten teeth. Truly makes no sense. |

It's not encouraging to hear that oil pulling didn't work for you, but will still give it a go. Still have to check if they post to Australia, haven't gotten around to it yet, to many things to try not enough time to try them all. |

Those are my thoughts exactly, theres nothing to loose, and it is quite cheap, if it dosent work it dosent work. |
