Hi,
I would like to have a go at making my own diy vitamin c serum and already have some vitamin c powder but this is ascorbic acid.
Is Ascorbic Acid just as good or does L'ascorbic acid need to be used? |

Yesterday, I read that L-ascorbic acid is the most bioavailable form of vitamin C.
I still wonder, however, if l-ascorbic acid is the same as ascorbic acid. |

Yes it has to be L-ascorbioc acid to be sold as ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) many supplement manufacturers just leave the L off while that which is sold for DIY purposes will list the L. |

Just make sure it is 100% pure absorbic acid without fillers or additives. If it is not ultra fine, you may have more trouble dissolving the powder. If that happens, just slightly heat the solution in a warm water bath.
Also, if you are new to c serum, I recommend only making 1/2 ounce. That way, you can modify it to suit your needs after the small batch is gone, or if you mess it up or spill it (like me) you won't feel so bad. |

The powder I have comes from holland and barratt it's fast dissolving, just ascorbic acid no fillers or additives. Have you used ascorbic acid and how good were your results? |
