I was searching on EDS in hopes to find the answer to my question, as I remember stumbling upon as thread mentioning something similar a while ago, but can no longer find it.
In the morning, I use Dermalogica Hydrating Booster (a hyaluronic acid serum), then I apply a 0.5% salicylic acid oil free moisturizer that also claims to contain some hyaluronic acid, and then I apply my sun screen... I've tried the MyChelle Dermaceuticals SPF 28 (11.6% ZnO, 0.67% TiO2
http://www.mychelle.com/SunShield-Coconut-SPF-28br?sc=13&category=-113) as well as Shiseido ultimate sun protection cream spf 55 (Octinoxate 7.4%, Zinc Oxide 13.9% http://www.sephora.com/ultimate-sun-protection-cream-for-face-spf-55-pa-P173669), both waiting for my BHA lotion to sink in first anywhere from a few minutes to 10-15 minutes, as well as following up with sun screen while the BHA was still sinking in... almost always, I get the same result: the products start caking up and peeling off
What am I doing wrong? Can I never combine an oil based sun screen with an oil free acne product? When I try the MyChelle sun screen alone, it works a little better, but for some reason I still manage to get it to peel in some spots... do I not apply enough? Do I apply too much? Do I not rub it in fast enough? Do I rub in too much?
Thank you for your help! |
