This is hands down the best and my favorite Vitamin C Serum! I have tried them all and strayed from SkinMedica several times looking for a better price, but I always come back to this and will never stray again, it is worth every penny to me. I'm 47 this week (yikes) and have dry skin. When I use this consistently my whole face is brighter and my cheeks are plumper, feel like ripe tomatoes And of course the long term preventative/antioxidant benefits of a stable vitamin c is invaluable. And that's what this is a stable vitamin c that I don't have to worry about it going bad or my spilling it or getting bad samples off of ebay (I've had both happen, had other serums go bad/oxidize and I've also accidently spilled the whole bottle which is truly a waste of money & sent my family running in to see what I was screaming about thinking maybe there was an intruder in the house when in fact I just spilled my $50 bottle of vit c serum!). I'm not sensitive to silicones, I actually like the finish of this under makeup and I do get a slight tingly sensation when I first apply which I think is a good thing. I use it around my eyes several times a week with no problems also. This is 15% Vitamin C with Vitamin E, EDS has a great price on this and ingredients from EDS site are below:
Ingredients:
Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C) → A water-soluble vitamin found in plants and produced synthetically that helps reduce the skin's inflammatory response to UV radiation. An antioxidant that improves skin and protects against future damage by promoting cell renewal and the synthesis of collagen.
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate → A stable, lipid-soluble ester form of ascorbic acid, a freeradical scavenger that fights aging symptoms in the skin while enhancing collagen production for firmer skin. Helps reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots.
Tocopheryl Acetate → A stabilized ester of vitamin E considered the most important antioxidant and free-radical scavenger. Moisturizes the skin and improves smoothness.
Tocopherol → The oil-soluble, natural form of vitamin E that is one of the most active, natural free-radical scavengers known. Helps to reduce scarring by interfering with freeradical processes that increase scar formation. |

Thank you for the review. I have heard very good things about this Vit C serum. I very much want to try it, but must finish what I have first.
I have used other SkinMedica products and find them to be top of the line, so I am rather anxious to try this. Your review intensified my desire. |

I have just bought the Vit C and TNS Illuminating eye . My 1st time using (not yet, infact, still waiting for post) skin medica products.
Thanks for the review. Good to know that I am on a good purchase.
But, anyone used Vivier Vit C before, I have tried its sample but the full product is kind of pricey, that's why i go for skin medica first. I do like Vivier's Vit C as well as its other products. They are on my wish list. |

I'm a long time user of this serum (must be a year now) and am very glad I've found it. I started to use it after my attempts with Skinceuticals, IS Clinical, etc., which I was unsatisfied with and was considering to give up the whole Vit.C issue already.
I tolerated Skinmed's VitC from the first usage on, and I still experience the light tingling (I use it a.m., after cleansing with mouslin cloth). I have no problems with the silicones, since they're mostly volatile. I apply it around my eyes as well (the "bottle" lasts for approx. 9 weeks for me).
I think, my face contours became tighter and definitely will continue using it. |

I agree with you: SkinMedicas Vit C is the best out there.,I have tried them all and the others and gross and sticky. I love the way it makes your skin glow and look great after you put it on.Its pricey but heres what I do to save $$$.I go to ebay and punch in skinmedica Vitamin C , You can either "buy it Now" or bid on small sample packets of Vit C. I usually am able to buy about 28 packets for under $20 . You can just carefully cut one corner and take a little bit out each time. The Vit C is normally 119 for a 1 ounce tube but I can buy it in sample packs for only about $10 an ounce. Its very affordable this way! |

The original packaging is a pump-bottle, which prevents the VitC from oxidizing respectively, protects the volatile silicones. So I'm not sure I'd like the sample packs cut open...
With a daily two pump policy I usually have 60-70 portions per bottle. |

When I use any sample packs that contain thin or watery substances or serums, I just poke a tiny pinhole in one side of it and cover it with tape when I'm finished. Hopefully, this helps keep it fresh longer |

I bought the samples from ebay following lucyluc's rec, and I am amazed at how effective this is without irritation! I've only been using it the past 3-4 days, and can see significant lightening of my melasma and age spots...and, of course, the "glow". |

its is without a doubt the best vitamin c out there. It makes your skin look so good after you put it on, sometimes after I put the C on I dont even put makeup on because my skin looks so nice. |

I thought you only need to use the Skinmedica C serum once a day as it's formulation is a slow release one. |

Just want to chime in to say I LOVE Skinmedica Vit C too! Love its non-sticky texture and how it disappears into skin right after application leaving a matte finish. I'm definitely repurchasing it as I'm running out soon but will also give Vivier a try (received the 10% one from EDS with my last order). |

This is the one product I don't mind spending the money on, worth every penney. I've recently put myself on a $50 maximum for any one skincare/makeup product EXCEPT the SkinMedica, it is the exception to the rule! |

I like the texture of this too. It's more suitable to use in the summer than many other brands. |

i've been using for two weeks now and i too am a believer. whilst it's too early for me to really notice the benefits i'm hoping to get from adding vit c to my regime, i can say that it goes on really well, has not caused and irritation or break-outs and - the real bonus for me - is beautifully mattifying. this works WAY better as a de-shiner than smashbox primer, and it's doing good things for my skin too! |

dips, EDS carries Skin Medica. It's the very last item of their longish list of products. |

I am very interested in purchasing this. I found a site called boundarywaters and it sells the skinmedica vit C for 64.95. It seems so much cheaper than the other sites. Can I trust it? Am I just paranoid |

Now I just went to ebay and found it for $50 (buy it now) from the same seller that has the samples. How can the prices be so different? |

This is the last update, I just found it from another ebay seller for $40.99, new in box. EDS sells it for over $100. I guess I am a naive shopper, but why shouldn't I buy it on ebay? Thanks for any info. |
