Hello all-
I'm new on this site and I guess I joined because my vision of what people want in their skin care products is a little skewed. See, my mother is a dermatologist (Dr. Cheryl Effron) in Southern California and I always grew up with great dermatological products lying around. Currently I am a graduate student at Georgetown and for my thesis I am in the process of writing a business plan for a new line of skin care products that will be created by my mother. She has finally decided to take all that knowledge she has acquired through years of experience (about what works and what doesn't) and create a line of skin care products that she is proud to have her name on. She is currently in contact with a pharmaceutical company and is in the laboratory working on formulation. *I am a proud daughter indeed.*
For this thesis, I created an online survey that is meant to discover what consumers like you and me really want in their skin care products. It's a 5-6 minute survey and it's actually fun. If you could take a few minutes out of your day to fill the survey out...that would be incredible. Please click on the link to access the survey:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=3D15990851186
The survey has been approved by the IRB (Internal Review Board [academic proceedure required by the gov't]) and ALL information is confidential. No one ever asks for your email address so you remain anonymous. This is required in order to get approval by the IRB so you can rest assure that your privacy is secure. Surveymonkey (the site that the survey is located on) is an accredited survey site that focuses in surveys for academic purposes.
Furthermore, IRB requests that you must be 18 and over to do this survey. So...if you are under 18 please refrain. You can look at the survey if you want...but please don't take it!
Thank you for reading all of this! I hope some people are as excited as I am about this.
I'll be writing a lot more in the future!
Jessica
***ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION***
PS: Here are some over the counter/available in Dermatologist offices (and online) products that have worked for me in my lifetime and I trust wholeheartedly.
La Roche-Posay (Toleriane Foaming Cleanser) is wonderful. It really makes my skin feel soft and smooth after I wash my face. Your face feels clean and tighter and its nondrying. Nothing is better and it's only $20. Has anyone else tried it? Comments?
Catrix Lip - Best chapstick.
Lotion: I really love La Roche-Posay's toleriane lotion as a light cover. I also love FRESH lotion and AVEENO (for dry skin) and Eucerine's good too.
La Roche-Posay Active C Light (is great for tighening). So is Kinerase. Kinerase goes on easy and I feel the tightening of the skin. Replenix (by Topix) is really nice too. It's made from Green Tea and has a very light feel when it goes on. No tightening feeling but very soothing.
PADS: Topix Citrix pads are effective, non-drying, and well scented. They tingle, take off makeup and have a light orange smell. I love them.
These are my recommendations. I will be posting statistically significant data (after I run the proper regression analysis) so that you all can see what "people" really want (and see if you needs are the same!) Thank you again! |
