Due to suffering from psoriasis I have never used anything at all on my skin. Also having spent most of my adult life overweight I had what I called 'natural botox' to plump my wrinkles!!!
Due to weight loss and age (56) my face had aged dramatically over the last few years and I have been contemplating a facelift.
While researching careprost I came across a post mentioning someone ordering retin a at the same time as careprost so I looked it up. I am hoping someone can give me some info and advice regarding this.
Firstly is this going to help me at all?
I am thinking of starting with the .04 retin a micro, would you think this is OK?
I know you cant use it around the nose, what about the deep lines at the side of the nose?
And I have read differing opinions on eyes, can it be used there or not?
I was going to start with 3 nights a week?
Recommended moisturiser for the morning after?
Anything else I need to do/not do?
Sorry for all the questions, never done anything like this before, just hope its not too late!!!
Thanks all |

Hi vix! I can't really answer to Retin-A, not having tried it yet, but I can sure relate to the weight loss/aging dilemma.
I lost 30 pounds last year, but I didn't get the sagging you would expect, in fact the opposite, because I was doing facial exercise. You might want to investigate that. My fave is Ageless if You Dare. Others, more ambitious than I, like Flex Effect. And Carolyn's Facial Fitness is another favorite.
I had been despairing over sagging too, and contemplating saving for a facelift. My wallet is very happy now, and my face is firm!
Good luck with Retin-A. I will probably start with it at the end of the summer. |

Welcome to this forum vix2000 I would suggest that you see a doctor first for your psoriasis and check if you can use Retin-A with your skin condition. You can improve sagging (face/body) by regular exercises to improve muscle tones of these areas. At the same time, your overall health and energy will also improve when you exercise... Facelift is a drastic step and may or may not work for you, but maybe some members can chime in on this issue.... Good luck! |

Thanks for all the advice, I have an appointment to see the NHS dermatologist but not until July. Luckily at the moment I have no psoriasis on my face so may just order the low strength micro. |

Whether you have psoriasis right now or not, it would be best to seek medical advice first before using prescription Retin-A..... Just my 2-cent thoughts.... Good luck! |
