Hello.
So, a friend gave me some serum from Cosmedix called Clarity. It contains retinol amongst other things and I'd like to try it.
I use Tazorac 1 or 2 times a week max and I was wondering if its safe to use that serum in between Tazorac applications? My skin handles Tazorac quite well. I don't have any extreme side effects like peeling or redness.
Can you use a retinol product while using Tazorac or any other retinoid? My gut says no but I'd like to hear other users' opinions too!
Thanks! |

Hi lightshox, I have used Retin A and and retinoids at the same time (sometimes the same night). I don't think this is a problem. Since you only use Tazorac 1 or 2 times a week you would have to be careful that you don't go too fast and irritate skin but I use a Retin a or retinol/Vit a product 7 nights a week and have no problems with it but I do have pretty tough skin.
If it gets too much you can just back off for a night or two. |

I alternate retin a and retinol. Retin a maybe 3 times a week and retinol the other days. Seems to work for me! |
