While researching foods that help with lactation for my sister (she recently gave birth, yyyyaaaayyy!!!!), I came across barley water. I made her some, and started drinking it myself.

I used to make barely based soups, and I would save the soaking water for cosmetic purposes.
I didn't notice much of difference in my skin between it and rice water, but they both do some good. With barely, I bet it's the selenium. |
