ok the subject of facial hair has come up today, anyone ever use this little magic device to remove unwanted hair permanently?
Its a hand held unit, you just roll over your face, bikini, under arms, legs, back, check well anywhere on your body! within a few months or faster it is suppose to remove hair forever! |

I remember an EDS member saying she went to Sephora and had an employee zap a test spot on her arm and she had burn marks the next day.
I have heard good things about the Tria and the Silk'n laser. However, I don't know that they are recommended to use on the face. |

Here's an article that compares the Tria and the Silk'n. From all the things I've read about laser hair removal, it's really laser hair reduction. I've never read anything stating that it actually removes all the hair. I've read that up to 80% of the hair can be reduced.

I have one - it does work very well on soft vellous hair (not what I bought it for) and I think I even see a reduction in recurrance ON THE FACE. I bought the unit for my bikini area which has been professionally treated for laser hair reduction and that really worked, problem is I am rapidly going grey in that area and laser does not work on non-pigmented hair.
There may be a little reduction in growth. Nothing spectacular after 2 months of religious use. I've not burned myself but it is very time consuming - sometimes one has to go over an area 5 or six times for it to get a hair. This could take forever, but after forking over the $ I feel compelled to persist. It is not anywhere near as good as professional laser hair reduction. And you will not have the "smooth" feeling that one gets after shaving; the hair may not be visible, but you can feel stubble. I know someone who has tria and she says she would not recommend that either. Sigh . . . |

So your basicly saying its like shaving only not as good, since you still feel stubble even afterwards? Wow for the money I'd think you would see better results by now!

I have HSN playing a lot in the background while I work and they sell the NoNo, so I have heard the presentation several times, and I have been tempted several times.  The reviews are mixed. People either love it or hate it.
Since I have read so many reviews and listened to the presentation so many times, these are my thoughts. The girl that sells the NoNo on HSN said that it took her 6-8 months to get her results, and she doesn't have to shave anymore. (You can watch the presentation on that link) When I read reviews, a lot of people are disappointed that they didn't get "removal" after weeks of use or even one use. But this is NOT a shaver. You still have to shave after you use this. It will take months to get a reduction. You also have to wait until the hair is a certain length to use the Nono, which is probably a major inconvenience for many. The other complaint I see is burns or cuts. So there definitely seems to be a learning curve with using this.
So my conclusion is I think it probably works, but it just depends on if the time, effort, trial and error is worth it to you. It's definitely not a miracle product, and the infomercials and commercials probably make it sound easier than it is. Plus, there is also an extra cost of having to replace the thermicon tips. One good thing is that this is not laser, so it supposedly works on any skin type and any skin color (unlike the Tria). I still think I would like to eventually try it, but it's not at the top of my wish list right now.

Thank you so much for this review, this is the exact information I am looking for! So bottom line, if one isn't going to invest the time of 6-12 months its not going to work!
On all the HSN presentations and informercials I see, they say the hair does not have to grow out, good to know it does! |

See that would of chapped me to buy it thinking hair growth not needed, only to have to grow stubble out to use it  ! That does not work for me at all!
