I long thought that once you hit 40 all your acne would be a bad dream. Unfortunately I'm still getting breakouts after having to take pain medication. Recently I went through such a bad phase I was forced to consider using a product with Benzoyl Peroxide, my product of last resort. The shelves at the Pharmacy are full of products with 1 or 5% BP. After using treatments with Salicylic Acid and getting minimal improvement I moved up to the BP products.
You can get a lotion or gel from the grocer for a few bucks, problem is that the over the counter products dry the skin out so much the cure is almost as bad as the breakout. I finally checked around this site and a few others and after looking at ingredients settled upon B. Kamins. It does say that it got the "SELF" (magazine) Healthy Beauty Award in 2005. At $31.00 dollars Canadian, this isn't the cheapest option out there but it didn't go all white and extra dry in the areas I've used it. The gel has the Bio-Maple ingredient that B. Kamins is famous for. Overall, for the results I find it worth the money not to have my face feel like it will crack off. (I will add, I only use acne products at night.) Into the garbage is going the OTC gel and on my shelf sits the B. Kamins acne gel...to me it deserves the award.
Has anyone else tried this product and gotten good or bad results? |

I agree that this product works, but I developed little bumps everywhere I put this on my face. It almost looked like a burn so either it is too strong for me or I am allergic to it. The reaction is horrible and I will not be using this product again. I gave my tube to a friend who also uses these products and she finds it to work well for her. |

I bought this at a sephora store for my boyfriend because the sales associate highly highly recommended it. He had a few breakouts on his chin and she said it was one of the most popular and effective products for breakouts but he didn't really see any results from it. His skin was still really dehydrated- I think that if the active ingredient of Benzoyl Peroxide is in any product, it will cause dryness. But I assume she recommended it because it does works for a lot of people. |

Ive tried this as well and it worked great for flareups. Im not sure if it works any better than drugstore products with BP, but it worked all the same. |

What makes me use B Kamins over the drugsstore brand is the fact that it didn't make my skin as dry as the d/s brands. |

Has anyone tried other anti-ance products of B Kamins?
It is a little more expensive than DDF and Peter Thomas Roth, and it has very opposite reviews.
Some claim that its anti-acne products are totally useless, while some say it does a good job with safer ingredients than DDF and PTR. |
