Hello everyone!
I'm new to this forum. I have recently been making my own vitamin c serum with L asorbic acid, camu camu powder, rose water and vegetable glycerin and my skin is clearing up. I have dark circles and minor pigmentation and since i have been using it my skin has brightened up too. I saw a video of a lady on Youtube making the serum, so i tried it and it worked for me.
Although i love the results of the serum so far. Is there anything else i can do to improve it. I make a new batch every 5 days. |

Hi and welcome!
I'm curious as to how you get the camu camu powder to dissolve. I've tried it, because of seeing in on a youtube video too, but I just can't get it to dissolve, it stays in the powder form, I've tried mixing with warm distilled water, leaving it for nearly two days shaking it every so often, but don't manage to get it to mix, if I let it sit in about half an hour I can see the powder settling at the bottom, so when I apply it I don't really feel it is been absorbed by the skin. In any case I was trying the camu camu as a substitute for L-Ascorbic, curious as to why you use both together.
About improving the serum there are recipes around here with adding Ferulic Acid, vit. E, etc,... just check out the sticky recipe thread at the top of the forum where they are all put together.
