You can get this generic - Careprost or Lumigan. It is 1/3 the cosst of latisse and exactly the same thing. It works very well and is easily available online.

Careprost is much less than 1/2 the cost. I paid $10 from ADC a few months ago.

Latisse and Lumigan are not totally the same. I have been doing lash extensions for 8 years and notice the latisse works faster. Lumigan takes weeks longer. I do recommend Lumigan if you can't afford latisse but usually if somethings way cheaper there is a reason for it.

My first several months of using latisse... i had AMAZING results. My lashes were super long and I would get compliments all the time. I'm still using latisse regularly, but have found that latisse isn't working how it used to. I'm wondering if lashes get "used to" the product and therefore need more of latisse to stimulate lash growth? anyone else have this issue?

I use generic Latisse (careprost) and I agree there is a limiting effect on efficacy. I may stop for a while and see if I can get things kickstarted.

I recently read on MUA that people believe there is a quality control issue with the Careprost from ADC. Some bottles work great and others are doing very little. Have you thought about buying Careprost or Lumigan that isn't made in India to see if your results last longer or improve?

Interesting point BCgirl Smile I am wondering also as I am using Rapidlash right now. Also would like to try some other eyelash booster to see if eyelashes will get thicker too....

Good afternoon, I just joined this forum for this exact reason. After years of using Careprost (and LaTisse) I experienced bald patches and thinning of lashes. I have taken a break because from what I have gathered, you can build a tolerance with too much use.

It has been two months since I stopped using it. I have been using Rimmel's Lash Accelerator morning and night and I take a multi vitamin, so my lashes filled in nicely.

I am wondering if you have any thoughts as to if and when I should start again. Incidentally, this is the first I've heard about the quality control issue with Careprost. Things that make you go hmmm!

Hi,
Sorry but i don't use it.
My suggestion would be to use Maxolash and then switch to Latisse.

Hi, came across this thread and remembered how I used to follow this forum especially when I started on my quest to grow my lashes. I too went through the whole Latisse, Bimatoprost (spell?) and got wonderful results and then after 6 weeks, poof! My lashes fell out all at the same time.
Shock After a lot of research, it was clear that the hair synchronised its anagen, catagen and telogen phases, meaning that the eyelash hair grew at the same time, rested at the same time and then fell out at the same time. So, mystery solved. It really wasn't worth it, so gave in and followed my mum's old advice re looking after my lashes. I now have lovely, long and much thicker lashes than ever now at 47 years than when I was in my teens! Very Happy

I looked into Carprost a while back (Latiss is too expensive for me). After some research I decided not to buy a product that would be utilized close to my eyes; not knowing how serious is the quality control in India. Alot of deseases could be transmited through the eye and who knows what could happend.

About lumigan if it is made in a country that has known quality control measures of the pharmaceutical products well, it is something else.

It's expensive because there's a reason why Allergan is a billion $ company. Do yourself a favor and by generics, there about half a dozen of them.
