kinda a wierd question, but i am wondering if anyone has had a hysterectomy (keeping ovaries) and what the effect has been on their skin. i know there are a lot of depending factors but im just afraid its going to be dramatic. hoping that since the hormones will still be there that it won't be too dramatic.... |

I think if you are retaining the ovaries, then you would still be producing the hormones which keep skin looking young. It shouldn't have too much impact I would have thought in that case.
I hope it works out well and you make a speedy recovery. All the best,

My mom had it. I can't comment on her skin because she also has bad thyroid problems.
She still went through monthly PMS (no bleeding, just grumpy as hell) and menopause.... |

Where you are keeping your ovaries (I agree) your hormones balance should be OK. I am pretty certain that your skin won't have the shock a total hysterectomy would have. My friend had a total hysterectomy at 42 and she still looks young and beautiful at 53. She did take HRT.
Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.
