I saw this mentioned somewhere, but didnt see anyone post who said theyd used it..
So Im posting!
I bought this today. I have bad dark circles under my eyes. Not from lack of sleep, not from allergies, not from anything else.. just inherited. And no puffiness or bags under usual circumstances.
This stuff is very light and absorbs fairly quickly. Doesnt stat moist or anything. Not on me, anyway.
Obviously its too soon to know if it works..but I will keep you all posted!
Anyone else tried it? |

Im actually thinking of taking some pics to compare.. then I can post them (only my eyes, of course.. )
But also might do the same just to show how amazing the Lancome concealer I posted about is too.. but not now.. it almost 0300 here and my face is already washed and 'prepped' for bed.. |

I have tried this before but couldn't use it I mentioned this earlier here and here when we discussed dark circles in the past. I have since tried it again and have had the same result. I'm not quite sure what it is about it that irritates my skin, my skin doesn't usually react to products in a negative way. So that was a waste of about Au$80 (or something like that) for me |

Hi Mabsy..
I didnt see your post before.. sorry!
Ive only tried it twice now in one day..
But its good you mentioned this (and yeah it was a fortune here too.. everything is more expensive here, and tax is 22%!!) Came about to more than 60USD I think.. But if it works on these suckers it'll be worth it..
Anyway.. at least I know if I start to feel dried out to stop. And cry about the wasted cash..
Sigh.
Fingers crossed!
BTW - Im putting it on after I cleanse my face. And then after its absorbed Im using an eye moisturizer.. and then my heavy duty eye cream..
Should I be doing something else?
Too much moisturizer maybe? |

Diva,
Sorry I wasn't being nasty with pointing out the previous posts - I was just too lazy to type out the stuff again and it was easier to search and provide a URL
I've read the reviews of this product on MUA and they were quite good. In fact I think that's why I bought it. I don't think anybody else had the same problems as me so here's hoping that it'll be fine for you as well.
Do you need the two additional eye creams? I agree with one of them (the Eye Tonic is not moisturising at all I found) but why two? Do you have really dry skin around the eye area? |

I didnt think you were being nasty.. !
Yeah, the undereye area is really dry..
The biggest problem with it is my concealer was always cracking from it.. once the moisturizer dried up underneath during the course of the day..
Cliniques Anti Gravity Firming Eye Cream was the only thing that wouldnt dry up under concealer. And now Ive just started using Lancomes Resolution D-Contaxol instead of that.. so we will see how it works. Its about the same density so I think it will be ok. Hopefully even better....
My left undereye area is much worse than the right. The dark circles, the dryness, everything. Its very annoying.. But I guess it could be worse.. they could both be really bad...
I think my left eye tears twice as much as my right, and as a result I think it dries out that area faster than on the right. (oddly enough, my cat has this same exact problem... )
When Im working and need to reapply concealer thats evaporated from sweat, its dry as a bone..
My undereye area gets a lot of abuse, really. With the constant wiping off and reapplying. It needs all the moisture it can get!
If I dont use a moisturizer religiously, i look 10 years older - just from a few days of no use.. its bad.. but if I use it.. I look alot younger..
This new product..the Lancome cream.. Im hoping it will help get rid of some of the crepish lines, as opposed to just moistening them so's they blend in..
They arent so pronounced that anyone looking at me can see them.. but I see them!!! And they nee to go!!
Its like 2 or 3 grooves under each eye.. ich..
But I dont want to overuse it.. so in the daytime or whenever I feel like its dry there, I use something a little lighter (and cheaper!)..
Oi.. seems Ive just written a novel.. sorry!

Wow, sounds pretty dry indeed! Have you tried Shiseido's Benefiance Eye Cream? That's really rich and a good choice for dry skin. Also, when I have irritation around the eye area I tend to reach for stuff with rose in it. Perfect Potion Rosewater Eye Gel when the area is not dry but needs to be calmed down, Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream (yes, used as an eye cream) if the area is dry. The Dr Hauschka Rose cream is a good choice as an eye cream anyway if you have very dry skin around the eye area.
The other thing that comes to mind is using an additional serum with hyaluronic acid in it and also doing regular moisturising eye masks.
This is just a stab in the dark but it's possible that the lines that you have under your eye are simply there because the area is just too dehydrated. Have you checked yourself out for allergies? It sounds like you may have some (teary eyes etc). |

Thanks for the tip.. if I dont have success with the Lancome I will try it - theres a boutique here I can check out.
But Im not sure the rose stuff is here.. could be though, Im not sure..
Are there any eye moisturizing masks you reccommend? Id like to try one maybe..
I WISH I had allergies.. it would make everything so simple.. but aside from a goose down pillow Ive since chucked, and vitamin C.. nothing else..
Its only 1 eye tearing, so more than likely its just a good old physiological defect.. the other eye is quite normal in comparison..
Actually though, just in the time since I bought the Lancome, my eyes feel comfortable. Not tight or anything. They feel OPEN. And soft.. and the crepish parts are diminished....
So it must be one heck of a moisturizer to still be active!! |

I currently use Thalgo Radiance Mask (for lips and eyes) or the Phytomer Moisture Quench Mask. The latter is a face mask but can also be applied around the eye area as far as I know. In all honesty I prefer the Phytomer one but that is mainly based on smell. I would love to try the Sothys Destressing Mask for the eye area but have not yet got my hands on it. |

It looks like the Thalgo Radiance Mask has been discontinued. That's too bad, since it sounded really good. I'll probably pick up the Sothys one when I get around to making an order (for the Orlane cooling eye balm) since I occasionally have some of the same eye issues discussed. Damn genetics!! Even though my family doesn't seem to have that issue. Heh. I'm a little scared, though, because if I have dark circles and dehydration now, I wonder how bad it's gonna get when I start med school in August. |

Indeed it has! I bought mine sometime last year. The other thing I would suggest, particularly if you already have the product, would be to use the Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask. I use it all over my face - including the eye area. It's not as moisturising but it seems to give good results nonetheless. |

Well.. so far so good. I have to say I became a bit paranoid that my eyes might start to dry out.. but so far they havent. Knock on wood..
Just a reminder, I also started using the Lancome D Contraxol for eyes at the same time - so the results I will mention here are possibly a mix of the two. Or one or the other. Duh. I shouldve tried them separately.. but Ive had such good results so far I dont want to change anything Im doing!
The darkness is lessened. Thats plain obvious. And it hasnt been a week yet. I still look like Ive got dark circles of course - mine are very bad to begin with.
When Ive put it on the night before, the next morning my undereye area is a bit puffy, but it goes away by itself with 10 minutes so I havent worried about this. It only seems to happen during sleep.
At any rate, the undereye area is already much much thicker skinned. Its incredible, really. It was so thin it was like tissue paper.
Now, I dont know if this is a permanent change, or if its a 'i have to use it for the rest of my life' change. But so far, Im loving it. |

Been a while since Ive been on here.. hello ladies!

regarding the chanel.. I dont think this product did much for me. If it did anything it was only right after being applied.. |

Thank you for the update! I found that it felt nice when it was being applied, cooling and refreshing. But, every time I tried it I got redness and irritation under the eyes. I'm not sure which ingredient is the culprit... |

Chanel's eye tonic is wasted money. Sorry
It didn't do much for me.
