have been snooping around the internet and manage to find some vit c serum recipes. IT goes:
10%:
1g of L ascorbic acid powder
5ml vegetable glycerine
another recipe goes:
5%:
1/4 tsp of l ascorbic powder
4 3/4 tsp of glycerin
10%:
1/4 tsp of l ascorbic acid powder
2 1/4 tsp glycerin
May i know which one sounds better?
also do i need to add h20?
Could i substitute glycerin with aloe gel?
Thanks |

I want to know this too!!!
I want to substiue glycerin with vitamine e oil or aloe vera gel.
But I think you NEED to mix the Vit.C powder with water before you mix it with another base |

I like the aloe idea with the ascorbic acid powder and a little glycerin. Then a little purified water to strength. Personal preference or skin need. |

I would start with Kassy's Vitamin C formula.. it is tried and true and full of goodies. |

Hi
Forgive me, I'm a noobie, but where might I find that recipe? Is it buried in one of the Vit C threads on this board? I've seen several threads and recipes but none posted by/credited to Kassy.
ETA: I apologise, I forgot to check the sticky on this board and have now found all Kassy's Vit C serum recipes! |

For those members who are doing DIY Vitamin C Serums, where can I buy the amber bottles with dropper included? Any stores in Canada or do I have to buy these online? Any reputable stores or online stores? Sorry for lots of questions, but I am also interested in Vitamin C recipes.... and I would like to make my own too (to save some money)... Thanks |

Wholesale Supplies Plus has bottles, not sure if they have the small serum bottles though. Lots of places sell them, but usually in bulk - I'll check my sources and get back to you. You just want one or two, right?
ETA - here's one with no minimum and they ship to Canada:

You can buy them where I live at some of the health food stores. There are all kinds of recipes for different Vit C in the DIY sticky. |

Hello Bessie Thanks for info. Actually I contacted the company and when I drive back to Toronto, I will pass by their office to select the bottles that I need to make my DIY serum... I really appreciate your help on this. |
