Dear forum members,
Is there anything could be done to fight marionette lines?
I am 40 and my marionette lines got really noticeable. They are more like creases which run very long down my chin.
From the online information it looks like that the only solution is fillers and no facial exercise etc works.
Has anyone found any other solution other than fillers?
I ordered Carolyn's facial fitness but I don't know if it is any good.
Thank you for your help. |

Hello, hopefully someone else will have more to add but I have found sleeping on my back helps-mine seem mainly to be creases from lying on my side when I sleep.
I didn't find learning to sleep on my back very easy and to help I used socks formed into a horseshoe shape inside the pillowcase, so I put my head inside the curve, if I rolled over I could feel it and roll back-I found I got an ache in my lower back, so I used a small rolled up towel under my knees until my back grew accustomed to it. |

Sleeping on the back helps all facial problem issues...great place to start. I like the Tanaka massage for marionette issues as well as nasal labial problems. Many have benefited from facial exercises and Carolyn Cleaves with Facial Fitness is excellent to give tutorial assistance. I also have found ultrasound/ultrasonic devices and microcurrent are amazing for skin tightening and lift. The loss of fat and muscle tone is part of the reason the marionette area starts showing. Diet rich in greens and protein has helped me....drinking green smoothies makes such a difference in my face and body....staying away from process food is important too! |

I'm interested in hearing more Toby! When you say ultrasonic devices and microcurrent, can you be specific which devices your talking about? I'm also in my 40's with marionette creases from the corner of my mouth to my chin. They look awful. I also bought Carolyn's facial fitness and am really scared to try it after seeing some of the exercises she does....there's one where she pulls down the corners of the mouth w/her fingers.....it looks like it could make marionette lines worse!! Any advice? |

As far as microcurrent I have the Beautiful Image, Nuface, and Pico Toner.....The pico toner is the best buy for the money and may be the most effective. This thread will give you more information.

I agree with Toby. Micro-current has made a difference in my marionette creases. The lift I get in the cheek area seems to minimize the creases. I currently use the FaceMaster and NuFace and both have given me results. |
